Learning. Despite reading countless books, attending inservices over decades, listening to podcasts, attending conferences, working with experts, I am yet to feel as if I have completely mastered even one area. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that I need to learn so much more….and I’m not alone. This week I spent time at a Maths project in Rockhampton. Cathy Wilson attended along with another four teachers, who are already great prac-titioners, simply so that they could improve their own knowledge and skills, and in so doing, be in a position to support other staff and their stu-dents. They were prepared to be away from their own families and work in their own time to do so. On Saturday, Gab Lindeman has been invited to present to other teachers during a professional learning day in Rockhampton. On Monday after school, more staff will attend a voluntary professional learning opportunity, again in their own time, to learn more about spelling – just so they can better the way they help their students learn. We also have staff training sporting teams, rehearsing for our Musical, working with choirs and ensembles all out of school hours. We have staff who support children in Parish Sacramental programs helping parents and Parish personnel through this important faith formation. When we have dance night this Thursday evening, you will find our generous staff in attendance, and all of this, on top of their very demanding workload as teachers. We are so very privileged to have a such an amazingly professional, dedicated and caring staff. Not one day goes by where I do not stop to think how very blessed we are. I have never worked with more inspirational people. Thank you to all of those who take the time to thank our staff and to acknowledge their generosity. It is always appreciated. Look forward to seeing you all on the oval to enjoy Dance Night.

Welcome Dance Night will be held on Thursday 12th March. Our annual dance night is a wonderful way to welcome new families to the school and for our students to showcase their dancing talents developed through their Physical Education lessons.
Gates Open—5:00pm Parents are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy with your family on the oval.
Dance presentation begins 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
The dance presentation will be held on the senior oval. Students will be seated in designated areas and supervised by teachers in their respec-tive year levels during the performances. Students will remain with their classmates in their designated areas for the duration of the perfor-mances, with parents sitting in an area behind the children. Folding chairs are recommended for parents. Each student will be involved in three dances. Our students have worked very hard to learn their dances and are looking forward to this performance to showcase their skills.
