Biography
Natalia Lara Diaz-Berrio is a mexican multidisciplinary artist, she has worked individually and collectively in several mediums: photography, animation,
sound, painting and drawing. In 2010, she participated in a one year exchange program at Concordia University. In 2008 she studied an undergraduate program
in Studio Arts in the University of Mexico city, ‘Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico’. In 2007, Natalia Lara Diaz-Berrio did an undergraduate program in
French teaching in the University of Mexico, ‘Universidad Pedagogica Nacional’ and in the ‘University of Bourgogne’ in France.
In 2011, she started to teach Digital Photography at the Concordia Students Union at Concordia University. In 2011, she participated in an International
Art Festival in Cuba, with the project “Reanimating the obsolescence”, alongside two other artists she worked with a group of students from the Art Academy
“El Alba” in the city of Holguin over one week to create a stop motion animation. Her works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Mexico, Cuba
and Montreal. In 2011, she had a solo show called “who’s looking at who?” in the Gallery X at Concordia University.
