CPAC Bringing the Arts to Everyone
Executive Director
CPAC is an integral part of the culture
of the Santa Cruz Valley and we want
to thank you for your support of this
great facility. Your loyal patronage is
crucial to our ability to provide the
programming you love. We could not
succeed without you.
Over the past year the center has
presented more than 70 performances
of various genres, displayed 8 art
gallery shows, provided classes in
yoga, zumba and visual art, and has
been the site of numerous rehearsals,
community gatherings and other
events. More than 20,000 people visit
CPAC on an annual basis!
Thanks to our stellar staff, a dedicated
core of volunteers and your
commitment to the center, CPAC
continues to provide life changing
experiences. We invite all who share
our passion for the arts to continue
this journey with us by attending
events, serving as a volunteer or
contributing financially. We look
forward to seeing you in 2013 and
beyond!

Chairman of Board Board Members Advisory Board Members
Congratulations to Nancy Karsh who
had a very busy year, starting a new
business and steering CPAC through
the standard challenges of running a
local art center. I have returned as
Chair for a one year period to buy time
for a succession to develop. We have
made great strides in the past year but
we still have a lot of work to do. Our
finances are improving but still can not
be taken for granted. We are thus
most grateful for the generosity of so
many people in coming events and in
covering some of the gap between our
income for tickets, rentals, etc. and our
carefully scrutinized expenses. We are
aggressive in looking for other, perhaps
unconventional, sources of funds and
have an excellent group (Board, staff
volunteers and “friends of CPAC”)
who work on this with unremitting vig-
or. My thanks to all who help to keep
the whole concept CPAC moving in
the right direction.

CPAC’s Visual Arts Program CPAC Exhibit Schedule Financials
In our current demanding world,
there is a growing need for visual art
activities in our community for both
adults and especially children since very
little arts education is offered in our
schools. Throughout the ages, the
visual arts have satisfied the human
hunger for aesthetics, creativity, and
intellectual challenges: “Art feeds the
mind like food feeds the body.”
We feel that CPAC can provide the
area with an exciting array of art
opportunities to engage our community
in this essential human requirement.
Consequently, we have begun to
develop a visual arts program that
includes exhibits and adult visual art
education. Aspirations for exhibits,
classroom visits and Saturday art
classes for children as well as additional
workshops, periodic talks, salon
discussions and demonstrations for
adults are activities we would like to
develop.
