Blood Glucose Testing In 2 Easy Steps

1 Insert a CONTOUR® Test Stripinto the meter. The meter will turnon, and an image of a blood drop willimmediately flash on the screen. Themeter is ready for you to apply a tiny(0.6µL) blood sample.

Touch the tip of the test striplightly to the drop of blood untilthe meter beeps. The CONTOURmeter’s innovative Sip-in Sampling®

Technology allows the blood to bepulled into the test strip. Your testresult will be displayed after a fastfive second countdown.

Read the result, then removeand discard the used test strip.The reading will automatically bestored in memory, and the meterwill automatically turn off.

The CONTOUR® Meter has optional smartfeatures that make it easy to stay in control.

The CONTOUR Meter has quick and easy meal markers tohelp complete your blood sugar management picture.

1aHow to mark your test results*Marking a test result as pre-meal – When your testresult appears on the display, press � or � to moveto the flashing box around the marker andpress M to set.

Setting the test reminder alarm – If you mark a resultwith the , the will appear with a box flashingaround it. This allows you to set an alarm that will go offin 2 1/2 hours, to remind you to do a post-meal test.Press M to set the alarm.

Marking a test as post-meal – When your test resultappears on the screen, press � or � to move to theflashing box around the marker and press M to set.

Marking a test as unique – There are times when youtest your blood sugar that are unique, and not basedaround a meal. When your test result appears on thedisplay, press � or � to move to the flashing boxaround the marker and press M to set. You maywant to note this result in your CLINILOG® Log Book.

After marking the test result with the appropriate mealmarker, remove the strip to turn the meter off anddiscard the used strip.
