Main Aim: By the end of the lesson the students should be able to express degrees of difference of means of transports making emphasis on comparatives.

Traditionally in Mexico, the most popular means of transportation were the bicycle, train and boat. Now transportation in modern Mexico is easier, faster and more comfortable people use the airplane, car and motorcycle, but they think that a car is faster than a motorcycle. On the other hand, a car is more expensive than a motorcycle ; therefore a car is more luxurious than a motorcycle.

The forms adjective +-er (…than) and more + adjective (…than) indicate inequality.

The airplane is faster than the train.

A car is more luxurious than a bicycle.

To ride a bike is easier than drive a car.

Riding a motorcycle is easier than a driving car.

A car is faster than a motorcycle.
