Our region

The Great PlainThe Great Plain is the biggest and easternmost region of our country.

It’s more than the half of the area of Hungary.

Two famous rivers cross it: the Tisza and the Danube.

It is very important for agriculture and tourism.

Best known for its tradition of distilling Barackpálinka (apricot brandy).

The city is a great starting point for excursions on horseback.

The protected sandy areas of the Kiskunság National Park are close to the city.
