This guide is designed to help you quickly get started in using Cisco WebEx Meetings for Android v. 3.0.
The instructions in the guide are the same for all supported Android devices. However, screen shots in the guide may be different from how the app appears on the specific Android device you are using.
About this guide

Cisco WebEx Meetings for Android is a free app that lets you schedule, start, or join WebEx meetings from your Android phone or tablet.
Meetings on your Android device are now more engaging because you can see the live video of the active speaker and everyone else.
Upon joining a meeting, you can set up a number at which you want to get a call from the meeting and then connect to audio. If you don't want to use your phone minutes, you can connect to audio by using the Internet.

System requirements and supported device types
tablets phones
Your tablet must meet one of the following requirements:
Screen size 7.1 inches or larger and Android 3.0 or later
Screen width 6000 dp or larger and Android 3.2 or later
Note: The screen sizes are estimates. To receive multi-point video, your device must have system-defined value for a large or extra-large screen size.
Android 2.3 or later. Android 4.0 or later is required for video.
Keyboard and non-keyboard devices are both supported.

Required device connections You can use the app on either of these connections:
Wi-Fi
carrier's mobile networks such as 3G and 4G
In connecting to audio in a meeting, you are charged normal carrier rates for calling in or receiving a call from the meeting. If you use video or choose to connect to audio using the Internet in a meeting, data usage occurs.

You can install Cisco WebEx Meetings from Google Play or Amazon Appstore for Android.
After you install the WebEx Meetings app, the WebEx Meetings widget is also automatically downloaded. To add the widget to your home screen, see Adding WebEx Meetings widget to home screen (on page 9).
If you try to join a WebEx meeting from your email invitation or calendar but don't have the app installed, follow the screen instructions to download and install the app.

The WebEx Meetings widget is automatically downloaded after you install the WebEx Meetings app.
Add the widget to your home screen to manage common tasks:
Get a glimpse of your meetings today.
Quickly start a scheduled meeting.
Start an instant meeting or schedule a meeting by tapping the plus sign.
Refresh the meeting list.
To add the Meetings widget to a home screen:
1) Go to the Widgets list on your device.
2) Tap and hold down the WebEx Meetings widget.
3) Drag and drop the widget on a home screen of your choice.

You do not need to sign in to join a meeting. But you can do more with your meetings when you are signed in.
To sign in to the Cisco WebEx Meetings app:
1 Tap Sign in on either the app or widget.
2 Enter the email address for your WebEx account and then tap Next.
3 Enter the password and then tap Sign in.

If your organization requires single sign-on authentication, tap Sign in through your corporate website (on page 12) to get started.

Single sign-on users only
If your organization requires single sign-on authentication, the WebEx Meetings app redirects you to your organization's website where you sign in using your corporate credentials. As a single sign-on user, you do not sign in using your WebEx email address and password.
Follow these steps to sign in using your corporate credentials:
1 Tap Sign in on the app or widget.
2 Tap Sign in through your corporate website.
3 Enter your WebEx site URL and then tap Next.

Note: You are not using your WebEx account to sign in. However, you need to enter your WebEx site URL.
If you don't know your WebEx site URL, contact your administrator.
Your organization's website appears.
4 Sign in using your corporate credentials.
You are signed in to the app.

Note: To schedule a training session using WebEx Training Center, use a computer. The meetings or training sessions you have scheduled appear on your meeting list. You can start them from your Android device or computer.

Before you begin
Sign in to the WebEx Meetings app.
To schedule a meeting:
1) Tap the icon with a plus sign on the upper-right corner.
2) Tap Schedule for later.
3) Specify your meeting information and add invitees.
4) Tap Schedule.

The meetings or training sessions you have scheduled appear on your meeting list. You can start them from your Android device or computer.
Before you begin
Sign in to the WebEx Meetings app.
To start a meeting:
Look for the Start button on the meeting list or the meeting information screen.
Alternatively, you can start a meeting from the meeting confirmation or reminder email message.

You can join a meeting in one of these ways:
Use the meeting or session number.
1) From the app or widget, tap Join by number.
2) Enter the meeting or session number, which you can find in your email invitation.
3) Enter the name that you want to use in the meeting.
4) Enter your email address.
5) Tap Join.

If your are joining a training session (WebEx Training Center) that requires registration, enter your registration ID.
If you haven't registered, you can register from this screen.
From your email invitation, tap the joining link or button.
Sign in, and then look for the Join button on the meeting list or the meeting information screen.

Connecting to audio in a meeting After you join a meeting, connect to audio in one of these ways:
Call me
1) Enter the phone number at which you want to receive a call for connecting to audio.
2) Tap Call me.
Connect using Internet
If you prefer using a data service over using your phone minutes, tap Connect using Internet. This may use a Wi-Fi or mobile data network, depending on your settings.

If you prefer calling in yourself, obtain the call-in numbers by following these steps:
1) Select the three dots icon on the upper-right corner.
2) Select Meeting information.

to invite people by email or remind people who are invited but haven't joined.

Sending video
To send video from your webcam or video camera:
1) Tap the gray video icon to turn on video.
Your self-view appears.

To stop your video:
1) Tap the green video icon.
2) Tap Stop my video.

When no content is being shared, whoever is speaking becomes the active speaker and appears on the big screen. All the participants appear on the bottom strip.
To view more people, swipe the bottom strip.
To enlarge the video of any individual participant other than the active speaker, pinch and spread the video.

When content is being shared, the shared content takes the center stage of your screen. You can still view everyone if you set your device in a landscape view.

To send a chat message to all the participants:
1) Tap the people icon to see the participant list.
2) Tap Chat with everyone.
3) Enter your message.
4) Tap Send.
To send a chat message to an individual participant:
1) Tap the people icon to see the participant list.
2) Tap the name of the participant.
3) Enter your message.
4) Tap Send.

To send a question using Q & A:
1) Tap the question mark icon.
2) Select the panelist to whom you want to send your question.
3) Enter your question.
4) Tap Send.

To answer a question using Q & A:
1) Tap the question mark icon.
2) Select the question to which you want to reply.
3) Enter your answer.
4) Tap Send or Send privately.
Your answer is visible only between you and the participant if you choose Send Privately.

To remove a participant from your meeting:
1) Tap the people icon to see the participant list.
2) Tap the participant's name and hold until a contextual menu like this appears.
3) Tap Expel.
4) Tap Yes to confirm.

To assign a different role to a participant:
1) Tap the people icon to see the participant list.
2) Tap the participant's name and hold until a contextual menu like this appears.
3) Select one, as appropriate:
Make presenter
Make host
Make panelist
Make attendee
Note: Depending on the participant's current role in the meeting and the WebEx meeting service you are using, the options that appear in the menu may differ.

1 Tap the audio icon.
