Academic Goals

Goal 1 - ELA

By May 2012, the percent of students in grades 2-6 scoring at Proficient and Advanced levels in ELA on the CST will increase from 74% to 80%.

• Tier 1 –Differentiated ELA lessons using ELD side by Side & Writing Standards, Academic Language Frames, Weekly Assessments - Data Collection

• Tier 2 – Pre-teaching / Re-teaching• Tier 3 –Imagine Learning 1, 2, & 3s, English in a

Flash 3, 4, 5

Goal 2 - Math

By May 2012, the percent of students in grades 2-6 scoring at Proficient and Advanced levels in Math on the CST will increase from 85% to 90%.

• Tier 1 –Math problem solving & Spiral Review • Tier 2 –Assessment & intervention lessons.

Re-teaching for mastery - Envision• Tier 3 –Individualized Lessons on Envision

Goal 3 - ELDBy June 2011, the percent of English Language

Learners in grades 1-6 making progress on the CELDT will raise from 69%-78%.

• Tier 1 - Language Frames & Objectives, Collaborative Projects, Active Engagement strategies, LAS Links Benchmark Tests

• Tier 2 -Extended Day Academic Language• Tier 3 - Imagine Learning & English in a Flash

Goal 4 - PEBy May of 2011, the 75% of the 5th grade

students will pass 6 of the 6 assessments of the state wide physical fitness test.

• Tier 1 -200 min of PE every 10 days• Tier 2 - Targeted strength, flexibility, & stamina

exercises for grades 4 & 5.• Tier 3 - Setting individual goals
