• Chile’s flag is red, white and blue. There’s only one star that’s white on the top, right hand side of the flag. Here is a picture of Chile’s flag.

• Chile is located in Southern South America. It also borders the South Pacific Ocean, between Argentina and Peru.

- Chile claims 1,250,000. Chile itself is only 4,630 kilometers.

- Chile’s capital is Santiago.

- Chile’s estimated population since June 2007 is about 16, 598, 074.

- Chile’s national flower is the copihue. This flower grows in southern Chile.

- Has a variety of landscapes.

- The 38th largest country.

- Winters are in the 60’s. Summers are in the extremely hot and humid.

-Chile is a democratic Republican in government.

- Diego Portels help win the war against Peru and helped Chile gain land. He is very well known for doing this.

-Chile’s president is Michelle Bachelet. She’s the first woman president in Chile’s history.

- She’s south America’s second women president.
