New Deal- FDR’s plan of economic relief, recovery, and reforms

Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act- set extremely high tariffs on imports to protect American farmers/manufacturers

Mussolini’s Italy1. Mussolini wanted to build a great/glorious Italian empire

strengthen communism

4. Collectivization- combining of small farms to form larger, mechanized farms

5. Gulag- Soviet forced labor camp/prison, used for political dissidents

6. Stalin began the Great Purge to get rid of people/things considered undesirable
