Cambridge ESOL Exams Registration System (REX)Version 1.0

OverviewMain Benefits

Users: Multiple Access level users. Every user’s access can be customised to different sections of the system.

Candidate Management: Ability to add candidates from the back end for paper based applications. Candidate approval / transfer and cancellation is all integrated in the system.

Test Management: The system manages available seats automatically and offers the ability to amend the availabilty of seats per test to the administrators.

Fee: We can have two different test fees for two different time periods.

Reporting: Option to generate venue and session driven reports, e.g test session reports, quarterly & yearly reports.

CRM function: A separate communication tab/page for internal use. It reflects the follow up history for the candidate on different categories, such as payment, photo, documents, other through email or phone. It also captures and show cases any emails sent to the candidate by the system.

Search and sorting: Ability to search candidates with various filters: venue, centre, test date, payment status, etc.

Online Payments: British Council centres can use the integrated online payment providers like WorldPay / HSBC for online payments. Independent centres have the option to integrate links to their online payment providers.

REX system Support: REX is supported by a Admin Community portal offering online manual, video trainings & collaboration tools like Q&A forums, FAQs and downloadable materials: www.rexhelp.com

Setup REX v1 system

• There are potentially 15 easy steps involved in setting up on REX for the first time.

• For day to day usage you will be using mainly 3-4 areas of the system.

• Accessing the REX system by the REX manager usually the centre manager or test manager.

• There are two sides of the system– Administration Side: used by centre staff managing test

• Understand the layout of the system and see how the tree structure works.

• Setup the fee for the whole year that becomes applicable to all the tests for your centre.

• Now you should setup the centres this will require inputting centre details and possible bank details.

• Now after setting up centres you can setup users who can be given access to one or more centres

• Setup your venue now and this is where you get to input the capacity for a venue and other details. You also get to choose a venue to be a closed one.
