BURLINGTON INDUSTRIAL PARK will benefit from several infrastructure improvements that have been put in place over the past decade, as well as some planned projects to further enhance the site’s viability. These improvements include:
A $50 million interchange project was completed in 2000 to give motorists full access to and from the Pennsylvania / New Jersey Turnpike Extension to Route 130 in Burlington Township. This interchange provides direct access between both directions of the turnpike extension and U.S. 130.
Burlington Industrial Park is served (Florence Station) by New Jersey Transit’s River Light Passenger Line. The River Line is a billion dollar rapid transit system that spans 34 miles with fifteen park-and-ride stops from Camden through Trenton, New Jersey (as depicted on the aerial photograph). In conjunction with SEPTA’s regional rail lines in Philadelphia and Bucks County and New Jersey Transit’s High Speed Line, Burlington Industrial Park is easily accessible by public transportation.
River Line Station
The NJ Turnpike Widening Program consists of approximately 35 miles of road widening and associated interchange improvements from approximately two miles south of Interchange 6 in Burlington County to just south of Interchange 9 in Middlesex County. When complete, the Widening Program will result in a 12-lane (6 in each direction) dual-dual roadway, capable of accommodating projected traffic needs through the year 2032. The Widening Program will cost approximately $2.5 billion, and construction completion is projected for Nov. 2014.
