COURSE POLICIES
• Formats, directions and instructions are generally given for the specific purpose of being followed. It is rather pointless to give out instructions if the student would insist on doing his/her own way in accomplishing set tasks
COURSE POLICIES • Each weekly meeting, a short 20
minute exam covering the activity and discussions done in the previous week shall be given starting at 7:45 AM / 12:15 PM. Small examination booklet is required for each exam
• No make up exam shall be given. The score for the missed exam shall be taken from Final Exam score.

COURSE POLICIES
• Refrain from using clips in the reports to be submitted.
• The reports should be free from exposed / sharp staple wires
• An automatic grade of 60 shall be given to reports that contain inverted / extraneous pages.
• Engineering lettering is required for Experiments 1 & 8 only
Grading System
Experiments: 5% x 8 = 40% Weekly Exams 3.75% x 6 = 22.5% Final Exam: 7.5% Prototype: 30% Total: 100%
Passing rate is 70% (EEC mandated)

PROTOTYPE PROJECT

PROTOTYPE PROJECT • Construct an FM receiver (Mono or Stereo) • In lieu of a speaker(s) modify the output to
accommodate a stereo jack for common stereo plugs for powered speakers
• Battery powered (not more than 9 volts) • Circuit board modification to segregate sections
– RF / Tuner Section (original coil orientation must be followed) – Demodulator / Detector Section – AF Section – Names of members must be etched on board
• Antenna and tuner knob must be firmly attached to the transparent housing
• Must be fully operational
FM Rx Evaluation
• Receiver must be capable of receiving at least 3 distinct FM stations preferably Love Radio, Yes FM and Win Radio
• General reception quality must be clear with minimal hiss
• Must be able to receive DZJR 88.7 MHz clearly
