BAJA SAEINDIATEAM CZAR 2020
We Team Czar, the mBaja Motorsport team of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has
continued their legacy of Eight years with building our glory ATV-CZR05 for Baja
SAEINDIA 2020 and ATVC 2020 competition. The car is up-to mark for its pleasing
Aesthetics as well as its striking Dynamics performance and it also earned respectful pats
from the jury events for its pure performance.
TEAM SOVEREIGN’s proud ATV- PHOENIX, ATV for BAJA 2020 was an eye candy
for the event, and it gained laurels in various errands of the competition. Not only did it
manage to turn heads due to its sleek finished looks, but it also earned respectful pats from
the jury events for its pure performance.
BAJA SAEINDIATEAM CZAR 2020
The car was designed and built to meet the overcoming challenges of sharp and
devastating tracks and run in all weather conditions. We had rectified all our failures
we faced last year and had a better, robust and sturdy car this time. Our focus was on
facing every obstacle and provide best performance with making the lightest and fastest
car. For proper designing and analysing the components, we have been using Data
acquisition systems and live data feed to the driver and pit during events which helped
us to achieve our design targets as well as improvising our dynamic performance up-to
mark, this salient feature of our ATV gained laurels in various errands of the
competition.

Dimensions of 2020 Vehicle
Dimensions Front Rear
Overall Length, Width, Height 76” x 56” x 60” (l*b*h)
Wheelbase 53”
Track width 49” 45”
Kerb weight 148 Kg
Features The vehicle was designed to target the Manuverability event with specific features of
steering geometry, torque transmission and vehicle size which effectively reduced the
turning radius to 1-1.5 meters by 50% decrement compared to last year.
The power transmission was designed and optimized to achieve a top speed of 52kmph and
acceleration of 5.9m/s2by 10% increment.
The suspension geometry was optimized in front and introduced a new concept in rear which
helped to balance the longitudinal load transfer of car and increasing traction on rear wheels.
The car had a 3D printed Data Acquisition box with a screen mounted in dash-panel which
gave live feed to driver about the car speed, CVT temperature monitoring and a heat map of
the race track and also stored the load-stress data in critical sub-assemblies.
Team Czar has secured 15th Rank in Cost Presentation an SAEINDIA 2020 season

• The main outlining feature of out this year’s ATV was toaccurate data display using CANbus protocol system. Thiswould enable accurate data and will ease the messyconnections. For enhanced safety an MCB was addedhaving a rating of 200A that would trip as soon as thecurrent went over limit. The main problem observedprevious year was overheating of the mo-tor controller, thisyear we have used fan for its cooling. We have alsoelevated the motor mounting points. This decreases thecontact tendency of motor with any obstacle.
