DanceFeverMultisportOurDanceFeverMultisportProgramwillcontinueinTerm3withallstudentsparticipatinginaDanceProgramrunbyDanceFeverMultisportandalignedwithourCreativeArtsandPDHPESyllabus.Studentswillengageinstagespecificlessonsdevelopingdanceskillsincludingmovement,spaceandarangeofsoloandpartnerdanceroutines.Itisexpectedthatallstudentsparticipateinthisprogram,whichisalignedtospecificstagebasedoutcomes.StudentsareremindedtoweartheirsportuniformontheirallocateddaybeginninginWeek1Term3.

PeerSupportWeek10Inthisweek’sfinalsessionofthePeerSupportmoduleMovingForwardchildrenwillreflectonwhattheyhavelearnedoverthepastsevenweeks.Thestudentswillmakeacubetoremindthemtodrawontheirstrengths,achievementsandpeoplewhosupportthenwhenfacedwithchallengingsituations.TheseprotectivefactorspromoteconfidenceandmotivatestudentstoapproachnewsituationswheretheycanthenapplythePause,Plan,ProceedModel.

GoldAssemblyTheGoldAssemblywasheldonMondayJuly1.Itcommencedat2.00pmwiththeTrainingandConcertBandsperformingaselectionofsongs.Alargenumberofparentsandfriendsoftheschoolattended,appreciatingthedelightfulperformancesbythebandsandthechoir ledbyMissWhittingham.CongratulationstoallstudentswhoreceivedGoldAwards.TheSRCdidafinejobleadingtheassemblyundertheguidanceofMrsAustinandMrsMoran.ThankyoualsotoMissBeattie,MrsPetersonandMissStonefortheirsupportwiththebands.Itwasawonderfulcelebrationoftheachievementsofourchildren.

Stage3NewsStageThreehadagreattimeatourAthleticsCarnivalinWeek8.Weparticipatedindiscus,shotput,highjump,longjumpandsprints.After learningthetechniquesandpractisingduringDancefeverMultisportsessionsatschool,StageThreeproducedsomegreatresults.

ThistermduringScience,weexploredenergyandelectricity.Afterlearningaboutthedifferenttypesofenergy,inparticularelectricalenergy,wecreatedourownsimplecircuits.Thestudentsproducedamazingresultswhenaddingextralightbulbsandusingswitches.Theyenjoyedspendingtimeexploringthedifferentcircuits.

FromeveryoneinStage3,wewishyouallahappyandsafebreakandwearelookingforwardtoanotherbusyterminTerm3.
