Ann Catherine Cross School of Dance, Inc. provides a quality education for aspiring youth.
As a holistic training environment for the performing arts, we hold high emphasis on a pre-professional teaching that includes both the educational and creative components of a rigorous training process for the youth of today. It is our mission to help young aspiring performers and artists obtain the skills to find their own creative voice while also excel-ling in the technical and performance dance.
We are well known and highly commended in the community as well as the competitive circuit for our age appropriate choices in costuming, music, and overall choreographic presentation. Our student alumni who have completed our curriculum have majored or are currently majoring in dance or theatre in prestigious universities include: Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Virginia Commonwealth University, Marymount Manhattan College, Hollins University, East Carolina University, and Elon University.

Important Information for 2016-2017
Performance: We offer a winter recital (Winterscapes) and a spring recital (Artists in Motion). Students
will wear the same costume for both recitals. The winter and spring recital will be held at the Cultural Arts
Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, 23060.
Winterscapes: The Winterscapes recital is Saturday, November 19, 2016. Each class will be given
instructions and information on which performance they will be participating. Rehearsals will be the week of
November 14—18, 2016 at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Rehearsal times for each class will be
announced as soon as possible.
Artists in Motion: The Artists in Motion recital is Saturday, June 10, 2017. Each class will be given
instructions and information on the day and time they will be performing. The performance and rehearsal
will be at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Rehearsals will be the week of June 5—10 at the Cultural
Arts Center at Glen Allen. Rehearsal times for each class will be announced as soon as possible.
Tickets Sales:
Winterscapes—Ticket Sales will be Saturday, October 15, 2016.
Artists in Motion—Ticket Sales will be Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Ticket Sales will be at the studio, 6906 Cold Harbor Road, Mechanicsville from 9 a.m.—12 p.m. Tickets are
reserved seating and are $15 each. Tickets are ordered on a first come first serve basis starting at 9 a.m. on
the day of the tickets sales. Tickets will be distributed to the students during rehearsal week.
Photographs: Individual pictures will be taken at a designated time. This is subject to photographer
availability. We will post the schedule as we get closer, however photographs will be taken at the Cultural
Arts Center at Glen Allen the week of rehearsal in June 2017.
Dance Attire: All Students are required to purchase their dancewear (leotard, tights, and shoes) from the
school. This insures that all students have the same attire for the classroom and performances. See attached
dresscode.
Weather: Ann Catherine Cross School of Dance will follow
Hanover County Schools for closing for bad weather. If in doubt,
call 804-730-1740. There are four extra weeks built into the
program year to allow four closings for weather or emergency
issues. If we do not close for four weeks for bad weather, these
classes will revert back to the student as extra weeks.
Studio Closings: The studio will be closed:
November 20—26, 2016—Fall Break December 19, 2016—January 1, 2017—Winter Break April 10—April 16, 2017—Spring Break May 27—May 29, 2017—Memorial Day The school will be open on all other school holidays.

Tuition and Payment Schedule The annual tuition amount is divided into ten monthly installments for your convenience.
Cross and Company Program September 12, 2016—June 10, 2017
Registration Fee $25 for previous year students or $35 for a new student.
Costume Deposit $70.00 per class
Tuition Tuition can be paid in full by September 26, 2016 and will receive a 5% discount or payment in ten (10) in-stallments, September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May, and June. 1 Hour per week—$65.00/Month 1.5 Hours per week—$95.00/Month 2 Hours per week—$120.00/Month 2.5 Hours per week—$145.00/Month 3 Hours per week—$170.00/Month 3.5 Hours per week—$195.00/Month 4 Hours per week—$220.00/Month 4.5 Hours per week—$245.00/Month 5 Hours per week—$270.00/Month 5.5 Hours per week—$285.00/Month Unlimited Classes per Week—$330.00/Month

*Artist in Motion Company Workshop will consist of competitive choreography and will also feature guest artists and master classes. The cost for this class is charged based on private rehearsal rates not tuition fees.
** Variety Production with Nakita is a class designed to help the student audition and experience versatile forms of dance that have been influenced by the commercial industry (ie, Cruise Ships, Kings Dominion, Broadway, Commercials involving dance, So You Think You Can Dance, etc). Dancers participating in this class will perform in the opening and/or closing of the annual productions.
