HowtogettoEmiratesStadium-PublicTransport/Parking

Underground Unfortunately,noneoftheundergroundormainlinerailwaystationsaroundEmiratesStadiumarewheelchairaccessible.Howeversomeambulantdisabledsupporters/visitorsmightbeabletousethem.

• Arsenal(PiccadillyLine)isthenearesttubestationandisaroundathreeminutewalkfromthestadium.

• HollowayRoad(PiccadillyLine)isaroundfiveminuteswalkfromthe

stadium.PleasenotethatHollowayRoadisexitonlybeforeandaftermatches.

• DraytonPark(GreatNorthernRail).Closedonmatchdays.

• FinsburyPark(Victoria,PiccadillyLinesandGreatNorthernRail)isarounda10-minutewalkfromthestadium.-FinsburyParkwillhavestepfreeaccessfrom2018whentwonewliftswillbeinstalledservingthenorthandsouthboundplatforms.

Itisaround20minutesawaybycarortaxiorforambulantdisabledsupportersandvisitorsviathePiccadillyLine(toArsenal)ortheVictoriaLine(toHighbury&Islington).

AllTransportforLondon(TFL)mainbusroutesarewheelchairaccessibleandalsohaveclearlymarkedpriorityseatsforanyonewhoneedsthem.Onmostbusesthewheelchairrampispositionedattheexitdoorandthereisonewheelchairuserplaceoneachbus.Pleasebeawarethatbusescangetverycongestedonmatchdays.ThemainbusstopsclosetoEmiratesStadiumarelocatedonHollowayRoad,NagsHead,SevenSistersRoad,BlackstockRoadandHighburyCorner.Anumberofbusroutespassclosetothestadiumincludingthe271whichgoesfromHighgateVillagetoLiverpoolStreetStation,andthe43whichgoesfromFriernBarnettoLondonBridgeStationandalsothe19whichgoesfromFinsburyParktoBatterseaBridge.TaxisAllLondonStyle’BlackCabs’arewheelchairaccessibleandcanprovideasuitablealternativetothebusorcar.Blackcabscanbehailed(stopped)inthestreethoweveryoumayprefertobookacabtotraveltoorfromEmiratesStadium.ThereareanumberofcabcompaniesoperatinginLondonincluding,

SupportersarestronglyadvisednottodrivetoEmiratesStadium,asthegroundissituatedinamainlyresidentialareawithextensiveMatch/EventDayparkingrestrictions.

BlueBadgeholderscanparkinthesurroundingroadsinvacantresidentsparkingbays.However,youshouldchecktoensurethebayisnotsuspendedduetoeventdayparkingrestrictionsaroundthestadium.PleaseensurethatyourBlueBadgeandclockareclearlydisplayed.

TherearealsoanumberdedicatedBlueBadgebaysinthevicinityofthestadiumhowever,pleasebeawarethatsomeofthebaysintheareaarespecificallyfortheuseofadesignatedBlueBadgeholder.PleasechecktheBlueBadgeparkingsignagecarefullybeforeparking.

EmiratesStadiumisbuiltonapodiumabovethesurroundingstreetlevel.

• FromtheSouth(HollowayRoadandHornseyRoad)accessfromstreetlevelisviaeitheraflightofstepsoraramp.

ThereisarampuptopodiumlevelonHornseyroad,atthesouthwestcornerofthestadium.

ThereisalsoarampuptopodiumlevelonBenwellRoad,nexttotheArsenalCommunityHub.

Therearealsotwoflightsof40steps,withhandrails,uptothepodiumwhicharelocatedeithersideofTheArmouryStoreandtheMatchDayBoxOffice

• FromtheEastonDraytonPark,oppositetheDraytonArmspub,pedestrianscanaccessthestadiumbytheDannyFiszmannBridgewhichisstepfree.

• FromtheNorthEast,againonDraytonPark,neartotheArsenalundergroundstationpedestrianaccessisbytheKenFriarBridge.Thisbridgehassteppedaccess(50+steps)upfromDraytonParkandthenrampedaccessonthestadiumside.

Thereare10windowsandthereisaqueuingsystemwhichismanagedbystewardsduringbusytimes.However,disabledsupporterswhoareunabletostandcanavoidthequeuebyaskingtousethewindowonthefarleftoftheBoxOffice(justinsidethedoortotheMediaEntrance)whichalsohasalowercounterforwheelchairusers.

Theoutergates(photoAbelow)areoperatedbydisabledsupportersinsertingtheirmembershipcardintoacardreader.Stewardsareonhandtoassistifrequired.Onceinside,theinnergate(photoBbelow)willthenbeopenedtoallowaccessintothelowertierconcourse.

TherearenineliftsinsidethestadiumwhichdisabledsupporterscanusetogofromthecarparkleveltotheLowerTier,ClubLevel,BoxLevelandtheUpperTier.

Theliftsarelocatedatthefollowingcores;A/B,C/D,E/F(whichhastwolifts),G/H,J/K,L/M,N/PandR/S.Allliftsarestewardedonmatchdaysanddisabledsupportersandpeoplewithmobilityproblemshavepriorityatalltheliftsand,

fromhalfanhourbeforekick-offE/FandN/Pliftsaredesignatedfordisabledsupportersonly.

Theliftshavevisualfloorindicatorsanaudibleannouncer,hearingloopsandtactilemarkingsonthecontrolbuttons.

Thereare8platformsforwheelchairusersontheuppertier.AllofwhichareforhomesupportersexceptforsomeFACupgameswheretheawayclubtakestheincreasedallocation.

Theplatformsareallaccessedbyramps(stewardsareonhandtoassistifrequired)andenablersseatingislocatednexttothewheelchairusers.

TherearetwowheelchairplatformsonClubLevelwhichareforhomesupportersonly.

SeatingforVisuallyImpairedandAmbulantDisabledsupportersisgenerallylocatedintherowsimmediatelyinfrontoftheLowerTierandUpperTierwheelchairplatformsasthismeansthatsupportershavelevelaccessfromtheconcourseandthenonlyoneortwostepsdowntotheirseats.

Also,onrequest,andsubjecttoavailability,visuallyimpairedandambulantdisabledsupporterscansometimesbeallocatedadjacentenablerseatsontheLowerTierwheelchairplatforms.

WheelchairAccessibleToilets

Thereare37wheelchairaccessibletoiletslocatedinsidethestadium.AllarefittedwithRADARlockstopreventabusebynon-disabledsupporters.AllsupervisingstewardsholdRADARkeysincaseadisabledsupporter/visitordoesn’thaveonewiththem.

Allthewheelchairaccessibletoiletsareunisexandthetoiletdoorsallopenoutwards.Thedimensionsoftheaccessibletoiletare180cmx235cm(5ft11inx7ft9in).Eitheraleftorrighttransferspaceisavailableineverywheelchairaccessibletoiletalongwithcolourcontrastedgrabrails.

Thelateraltransferspaceis110cm(3ft7in).Thewashhandbasinsallhavelevertypemixertaps.Thewheelchairaccessibletoiletsarealsofittedwithappropriateheightmirrors,handdryersandcoathooksandpullcordemergencyalarms.

Therearestandardmale&femaletoiletsavailablenexttoalltheentrancestoseatingareasontheloweranduppertiersandalsoonClubLevelnexttotherestaurantandbarareas.Everystandardtoiletblockcontainsonecubiclesuitableforambulantdisabledsupporters.

TheChangingPlacesToilet(CPT)isinBlock48onClubLevel.Itisavailabletoanydisabledsupporterinthestadiumonamatchdayoranon-matchdayanditisfittedwithaRADARlock.

OnamatchdaydisabledsupportersnotonClubLevelwantingtousetheCPTfacilityshouldcontacttheDisabilityLiaisonTeam(DLT)viaanystewardandamemberoftheDLTwillcomeandescortyoufromyourseat/wheelchairplacetotheCPTfacilityandbackagain.

ThedimensionsoftheCPTfacilityare205cmx410cm(6ft9inx13ft5in).Thefacilityincludesaheightadjustablechangingbench(length179cm-5ft10in),withshowerattachmentandapoweredoverheadhoistwhichcoversallareasofthefacility.

ThetoiletintheCPTfacilityispeninsular.Thetransferspaceontheleftasyoufacethetoiletis60cm(1ft11.5in)andontherightis96cm(3ft2in).Colourcontrastedwallmountedanddropdowngrabrailsarefittedaroundthetoilet.

Thefacilityalsoincludesasink,aprivacyscreen,non-slipflooringandapullcordemergencyalarm.

TherearenumerouscateringareasontheLowerandUpperTiers.Allofwhichhavevariedmenusofhotandcoldfastfoodsuchasfishandchipsandburgersaswellashotandcolddrinks.Allthelargercateringareashavelowlevelcountersforwheelchairusers.

ClubLevel:

TherearebothrestaurantandbarareasonClubLevel.AllbarcountershavealowlevelpositionforwheelchairusersandboththeEmiratesLoungeandtheChampionsBarareas,whichareadjacenttothetwoClubLevelwheelchairplatforms,havedrinkstableswhicharedesignatedfordisabledsupportersduringthebusyhalf-timeperiod.

TheDisabledSupportersLoungeisopenfordisabledsupporters(andtheirenablers)beforeeveryhomegameatEmiratesStadium,(excludingtheEmiratesCupweekendandInternationalFriendlies).-Forweekendgames,theLoungeopensfromtwohoursbeforekick-offandcloses25minutesbeforethegamestarts.-Formid-weekgamestheLoungeopensfrom6.00pmandcloses25minutesbeforethegamestarts.TheLoungeisequippedwithtwolargescreenTVsandthereisalsofreeteaandcoffeeavailable(althoughwedoaskdisabledsupporterstoconsidermakingasmalldonationtoTheArsenalFoundationfortherefreshments).Awheelchairaccessibletoiletfacilityisalsoavailable.TheDisabledSupportersLoungeislocatedjustinsidetheMuseumEntrancewhichisoutsidethestadiumintheNorthernTriangleBuildingonpodiumleveloppositeturnstileBlockE.OnceyouareinsideTheArsenalMuseumentrance,theDisabledSupportersLoungeisonyourright.Fordisabledsupportersinthecarpark,youcanreachtheLoungethroughthedoormarkedDisabledSupportersLoungelocatedattherearofOrangeCarPark4thenviaaliftuptothemuseumentranceandtheLoungewillthenbeonyourleft.

TheArmouryStoreislocatedatthesouthernendofthestadiumonHornseyRoadnexttotheMatchDayBoxOffice.

Thereislevelaccessintothestoreviadoubleglassdoors.Thedoorsarequiteheavy;howeverstaffareonhandtoassistifrequired.Exitfromthestoreisthroughanothersetofdoubleglassdoors.Again,staffwillbeonhandtoassistifneeded.

Staffwillalsobehappytoassistdisabledsupporters/visitorswiththeirshoppingifrequired.However,thestorecangetverybusyonmatchdaysanddisabledsupporters/visitorsrequestingassistancemighthavetowaitafewminutesforamemberofstafftobecomeavailable.

Exceptonmatchdaysdisabledsupporters/visitorscanalsobooktoursofEmiratesStadiuminTheArmouryStore.

BoththeLegendsandself-guidedaudiotoursarefullyaccessibleforwheelchairusersandambulantdisabledsupporters.

TheArsenalMuseumislocatedintheNorthernTriangleBuildingoppositeturnstileBlockE.ThereislevelaccessintotheMuseumentrancefromwhereyoucanusealiftorstairstogodowntotheMuseum.AwheelchairaccessibletoiletisavailableattheMuseumentrance.

TheAllArsenalStoreislocatedonDraytonParknexttothenonmatchdayboxoffice.Thereislevelaccessintothestorethroughdoubleglassdoors.Exitisthroughanothersetofdoubleglassdoors.Staffareonhandtoassistifrequired.

Partofthestoreisatalowerlevelwhichcanbereachedviaashortflightofstairsoraplatformlift.Theplatformliftiskeptlockedforsafetyreasons;pleaseaskamemberofstaffifyouwanttouseit.

TheDisabilityLiaisonTeamprovidesanAudioDescriptionCommentaryServiceateveryhomegameatEmiratesStadiumforBlindandVisuallyImpairedsupporters(includingawaysupporters).

Seasonticketholderskeeptheirreceiversandheadsetsonapermanentbasis.Matchticketholdersarehandedtheequipmentbeforethegameanditisthencollectedafterwards.Thisserviceiscomplimentary.

ArsenalLegendNigelWinterburnwiththeaudiodescriptioncommentaryteam.

TheclubalsoprovidesBlindandVisuallyImpairedSupporterswithanaudioversionofallhomematchdayprogrammesintheformofapodcastwhichsupporterscanbedownloadedfromtheDisabledSupportersInformationpageonArsenal.comafewdaysaftereachhomegame.Thisserviceisalsocomplimentary.

EmiratesStadiumwasthefirstPremierLeaguegroundtoinstallaGuideDogToiletfacility.ThefacilityislocatedoutsidethestadiumonpodiumleveloppositeturnstileBlockF.ItisaccessedviaagetwhichisfittedwithaRADARlock.

TactileGuidancePathway

ThereareTactileGuidancePathwaysthatourblindandvisuallyimpairedsupporterscanusetonavigatetheirwayaroundthepodiumareaoutsidethestadium.

ThepathwaysbeginontheKenFriarandDannyFiszmanbridgesatthenorthandeastsideofEmiratesStadiumandguideourvisuallyimpairedvisitorsaroundthesitetoHornseyRoadatthesouthernatthestadium.
