Project Arctic Connection

Inspired by the traditional Inuit eyes and sunglasses, Ap and Bijan present their first design:

Arctic Connection

In 2006 Ap travelled to the Inuit in Nunavut, Northern Canada, to make a documentary film.

Why Arctic?

Ap was fascinated by the Inuit culture. This in World’s most coldest landscape.

Temperatures dropped down till -48 C

The Inukshuk: One of worlds oldest formsfor communication

Attracted by Ap’s film and stories, Bijan agreed to design sunglasses inspired on Inuit Culture.

The traditional pair of glasses, Inuit used in the past, combinated with the specific shape of Inuit eyes

formed the basis for this design.
