The Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (53 of 2003): Codes of Good
Practice on Black Economic Empowerment was gazetted on 9 February 2007.
LEMEG Architects took a strategic position and contributes towards this growth
strategy. The practice is rated by a registered BEE Verification Agency annually
and has been certified as a level Two Contributor.
The practice is fully computerized and utilizes AUTODESK REVIT, AUTODESK
3D STUDIO MAX DESIGN, ARCHICAD, SKETCH UP and ARTLANTIS STUDIO as
design and rendering 3D engines. Furthermore, the firm uses AUTODESK REVIT
and AUTODESK AUTOCAD as documentation tools. It is equipped with up-to-date
computer hardware and large format media printing. The practice is housed in a
spacious office building with expansion capacity. LEMEG Architects is a corporate
member of the South African Institute of Architects.
The Practice has always been involved in various activities involving local schools.
This is aimed at giving scholars the opportunity to better understand the role of
architecture in helping to shape a rich physical, social and cultural environment of
Limpopo and South Africa at large. It is further to ensure a greater awareness in the
young minds of architecture and human relationships with the built environment,
the natural world and with each other.
It is by delivering innovative solutions to aesthetic and practical challenges through
DESIGN and by adopting a holistic and integrated design approach in the way
we create buildings as well as exercising absolute sympathy in all matters that
concern our environment that we fulfil the mission to enhance living. Our design
strategies and solutions are constantly aimed to aid in comfort, convenience and
efficiency in everyday life.
We embrace an idea that a technical role on its own does not represent value
when rendering a service. We see value as an on-going engagement with you, our
client, towards the excellence of buildings, the way in which buildings communicate
to their surroundings, the respect for natural and built environment as well as
embracing the collective and individual cultural heritage.
