“Our deepest fear is not t hat we’re inadequate.

Our deepest fear is t hat we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, t hat most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,

t alent ed, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.”

—A Return to Love

To live a life that is not at the effect of the world around

you, it’s important to recognize your mental habits.

Where do you judge others or yourself?

Where are you in the habit of getting angry?

Where do you attack people?

Where do you get defensive?

For the next few days, note any situation where you

see yourself taking part in a mental habit that’s keeping

your stuck in a place of chaos rather than living in a space

of love.
