ANNUAL REPORT 2019
“We must speak to them with our hands, before we try to speak to them with our lips”
- Saint Peter Claver
The mission of the Foundation is to promote and enhance the benevolent goals of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary by addressing the multiple charitable needs and aspirations of the Order’s members, parishes, and the greater community.
We envision a vibrant, strong, and healthy community in service to God, the Church, and stakeholders resulting in a higher quality of life for all.
SPIRITUALITY. We believe and subscribe to the teachings and philosophies of the Roman Catholic Church. We have experienced, first hand, what Faith can do and wish to enable others to share in its riches.
INCLUSIVENESS. Although we subscribe to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, we realize that we are not on the earth alone. Our goal is to partner with organizations of service to our community at large. We view diversity as a strength.
ACCOUNTABILITY. Each Board Member of the St. Peter Claver Foundation understands his or her responsibility to its donors. The Board of Directors operates under a strict code of ethics. The Saint Peter Claver Foundation is committed to making sure that donor funds are used for the intended charitable act(s) and to support programs effectively.

July 2020 Dear Supporter:
It is an honor and privilege to greet you on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Saint Peter
Claver Foundation (SPCF). During the year 2019, SPCF launched several new initiatives and
programs that aim to improve the quality of life for all. Additionally, SPCF implemented a 21st
century marketing strategy to enhance communications and programming efforts, while
continuing to improve operations.
The Saint Peter Claver Foundation continues to impact the lives of those it reaches through a
variety of programs, while fulfilling its mission—to promote and enhance the charitable goals
of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary and community partners. The Foundation
urges supporters to assist in facilitating programs and initiatives that aggressively address
disparities and issues affecting people of color: social justice, education, women’s and
domestic violence issues, at-risk youth programs, eradication of poverty, religious support,
housing assistance, health and wellness, and senior care/support.
As we create a path forward, the SPCF continues seeking out opportunities to serve, aligning
resources and forming beneficial partnerships. It is imperative that we continue to increase
our impact by engaging donors, community partners, and most importantly the dedicated
and generous members of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary who provide
financial, physical and creative sustenance for charitable programs and efforts throughout
the country.
I am excited to introduce the SPCF’s Social Justice Campaign: The Enduring Call to Love where
we are committed to raising $100,000.00 to address and raise awareness of the impact of
social justice issues plaguing communities of color: Black Lives Matter - Dignity of Black Lives,
Criminal Justice Reform, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, and Racism. In partnership
with the Knights of Peter Claver, Inc., and other community partners, we are called to lead
the charge in bringing awareness and ultimately assisting with the eradication of these issues
and their demoralizing effects on humanity. Please learn more about this campaign and how
you can support in the pages to follow.
We look forward to your continued support of our initiatives by donating to the Saint Peter
Claver Foundation at www.claverfoundation.org, whether through one-time, ongoing or
donor directed giving, wills or estate planning.
Sincerely, Delilah Gauthia Francis President Saint Peter Claver Foundation
