Who is Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz was born on October 2, 1949.

She is one of the world’s best-known portrait photographers.

She is also known for her portraits of political figures.

Many of her photographs of celebrities have become famous photographs.

Annie Leibovitz’s brief time with the Rolling Stones magazine

She began working for the Rolling Stones magazine in 1970.

By 1973 she became Rolling Stone’s chief photographer.

photograph that Annie Leibovitiz took in 2006.

She left the magazine company ten years later.

Annie is currently still living.

I do see that her work has continuously improved.

This is a wonderful take of a Disney movie called Alice in Wonderland.

Annie has a creative way of capturing Disney movies within photographs.

This is a wonderful take of a Disney movie called Alice in Wonderland. She uses the rule of thirds and depth of field.

All of her photographs relating to Disney characters are very distinctive in which scene the camera captures .

This is a wonderful take of a Disney movie called Snow White. This scene is were she is singing to all the forest animals.

“The first book that made me realize what it meant to be a photographer was The World of Henri Cartier-Bresson.” (Annie Leibovitz).

Who influenced her?

This black and white photograph contrast perfectly. The cigarette in his mouth stands out against his skin while the knife in his hand stands out against the white bed sheets.

She began attending school at San Francisco Art Institute for art when she realized she wanted to do photography.

“There was something wonderful about the whole process—the immediacy of taking

pictures and the license it gave you to go out in the world,” (Annie Leibovitz).

Why is she important to photography?

When she went to school to learn photography it was still in black and white.

She doesn’t just take photographs she composes them

Why is she important to photography?

This photograph has became well know for many reasons.

Yoko Ono refused to remove her clothes and so only John Lennon would.

And several hours later John was shot dead in front of where he lived.

This cover got named the best cover in 40 years.

Why is she important to photography?

“My hope is that we continue to nurture the places that we love, but that we also look

outside our immediate worlds.” -Annie Leibovitz
