Europa Ayurveda Centrum Has novel ideas to give a new direction for

farmers to have a healthy, sustainable, profitable and

affordable livestockfarmto produce enough food for the growing

worldpopulation.

Reason for starting this project

• Monoculture in agriculture and monobreedingin livestock animals is inviting diseases.

• Animals need each other’s company.

• In nature, animals are living together.

• To restore the balance we need to mimic the nature.

A holistic approach to modern lifestockfarming.

• Fresh water

• Vital food

• Herbal additives to promote growth

• Herbal preparations with antimicrobial properties to enhance immunesystem

• Airfiltersystem with biowashers to purify the air inside the building.

• To avoid stress, tension, fear and nervousness.

• Mantra music throughout the building

• Everybody has to meditate minimum 5 to 10 minutes in the meditation hall before entering the animal house.

The building project

• In Witharen we made a groundplan for the animalbuilding in the shape of a cosmicsculpture.

• On this groundplan we designed a glassbuilding for a group of domestic animalsto live together.

• Electricity, heating, feeding, watering, waste storing and cleaning the animalbuilding withall modern technical solutions.

• Daylighting is one of the major “green” features of the building, whichalso features high-performance glazing, radiant slabs, active chilledbeams, PV panels and other sustainable features.

• Instead of growth enhancers herbal additivesin animal food to improve growth in a naturalway.

• Instead of preventive antibiotics herbal preparations with antimicrobial properties to enhance the immunesystem of the animals.

• Agriculture of animalfood nearby the animalhouse.

Ayurveda herbal preparations

• We find out that many Indian medicinal plantsare growing in the North East of Holland.

• This resulted in our research on this topic.

• We discovered the reason through a bookrecently translated about Indian medicinalplants, their usage and herbal recipes.

• This herbal formulas are identical from oldAyurveda books from South India (Kerala).

Ayurveda herbal preparations

• For all types of animals we have more than1000 recipes to prevent diseases.

• They enhance the immunesystem and promote resistance.

• They grow in the Netherlands thanks to the history of East India Company who broughtthis plants to this part of the Netherlands.

VOC brought medicinal plants fromIndia to the Netherlands

• We designed a groundplan for storing and purifying borewell and rain water.

• Purification of excess of iron and contaminants from the water.

• Milk, urine, yohurt, butter and dung mixed together, 3 weeks for fermentation makespanchagavyam.

• Panchagavyam is a natural menure and a natural insect repellent spray for herbs.

• Cowdung as biofuel.

• We selected three hectare land for thisproject.

• This is a cosmic sculpture named Ekatvam

the meaning of ekatvam is ‘unity in diversity.’

• In this groundplan we designed a glassbuilding

Outside the building

• Each section of the building has a separate walking-out place for the animals.

• Each section outside has medicinal plantationnecesary for each animal.

• Beehives are around each section.

Laboratories for different researches

• Research is an ongoing proces to monitor health and wellbeing of the animals.

• Labs are connected with the project.

• Universities sent their doctors to do research.

• Public and schools are invited to visit the place and to learn about the importance of holisticfarming.
