What is a Date tree?

It is a hierarchical structure Where Data can be storeD in nesteD lists. Date tree is like a tree With a number of branches, Which means in Grasshopper, it takes one Data set as input anD multiple Data sets as output. this process creates the path that can approach to every sinGle list in the component, anD therefore the Data tree can be iDentifieD throuGh these approaches.

Date tree matchinG occurs When inputs have Different sizes anD neeD to solve. this is because even if makes one sinGle chanGe of the alGorithm of Data matchinG, the results may be completely Different.

8 ALGORITHMIC SKETCHBOOK

Drawing four curves in Rhino, as the basic for Grasshopper.

Creating arches between each curve.

Shifting by 5 units.

Dividing each curve into 36 units.

Making loft.

Creating surface and baking it into Rhino.

ALGORITHMIC SKETCHBOOK 9

Setting multiple Breps from Rhino (surfaces). Offestting 18 units from 2 units apart.

Extruding curves by 26 units and splitting surfaces with a bunch of curves. Baking surfaces into Rhino.

Creating three patch surfaces for trimming extra surfaces.

After trimming. Final outcome.

Put multiple random points in Rhino and set them periodically, connect to Nurbs Curves as the list of Vertice, put a slider that controls the degree of Nurbs Curve (degree should smaller or equal to the number of points), and Boolean Toggle controls the True of False of periodic curve.Move nurbs curve in z-direction by connect base geometry (output from Nurbs Curve) and translation vector (Unit Z with a Factor slider).Area gives the central point, therefore the moved geometry can be Rotated, and the rotated angle can be controlled by Radians.Loft Nurbs Curve and Rotated geometry together to get the final outcome.
