Cycling education in Poland (present)
• In 4 or 5 class of primary school every pupil can do it „bicycle card” (but it’s not obligatory)
• „Bicycle card” exam includes theoretical (test – 20 question) and „practical” part at school but without riding on a bike in real traffic conditions.

Cycling education in Poland (present)
so…
Without „bicycle card” you can’t ride (and training) by bike on the streets (zone 30 km/h f.e.), but with „bicycle card” you must riding on a bike together with cars and trucks on many dangerous street without any abilities! (if don’t have bike infrastructure).
Meeting at school playground
• Rules of a bicycle ride• Checking mandatory bike equipment (lights,
reflector, brakes, bell)• Checking the bike condition (brakes,
derailleurs, pressure, handlebar and others)• Excercise of coordination (emergency braking,
turning, riding in the column)
How to turning left?- steps
• Look behind you• Signal (left hand)• Change your position on the lane (from right
side to middle of street) or change lane• Yield (if necessary)• Turn with both hands on handlebar!
3 principles of safe parking
• Good bike rack (U-rack), not cable lock!
• Good bicycle lock (U-lock, chain)
• Common sense
Future?
• Cooperation with The Voivodship Center of Road Traffic
• Training for teachers (maybe on the example of France – FUB)
• Change the current system of training (experience from Holland, mass and obligatory practical cycling eduaction)
