GoodReads + BloggerHow to Add a GoodReads widget to your sidebar

Add books to your GoodReads library

Search for a book.

Add to my books by selecting appropriate shelf.

Assign books you’ve read this nine weeks to the 2008Q1 bookshelf.

View the books you’ve added to your library.

In the shelf column, click edit.

Assign books you’ve read this nine weeks to the 2008Q1 bookshelf.

If you’ve created the 2008Q1 bookshelf, click the box to assign a book to this shelf.

To create the shelf, click new shelf and type in 2008Q1 to add a new shelf. Make sure the book is assigned to the shelf (a checkmark appears beside the shelf).

Create a GoodReads widget for your blog sidebar.

In the my books view, click the widget tool just above the search box.

Select the 2008Q1 Shelf. (You can add more than one widget if you want to show off other books you’ve read!)

Copy the copy.

Add an HTML gadget to your blog and paste GoodReads code.

From your Blogger dashboard, select Layout.

Now add a gadget.

Scroll down to find the HTML/JavaScript gadget and click the + to add it.

Add an HTML gadget to your blog and paste GoodReads code.

Paste the code copied from GoodReads in the Content box and click Save.

View Your blog to see if the gadget looks like you want it. You can change the order of your sidebar gadgets by dragging and dropping them into any order.
