A Preventative Tool of the Present

to Add Life to the Future

of Health & Kinesiology.

The program is designed to offer physiological testing

educational opportunity for Texas A&M University

senior level Applied Exercise Physiology students.

Why Test Apparently Healthy

People ?

Most individuals do not know they have heart

problem until they experience symptoms.

Disease is at an advanced stage by this time.

Heart Disease: Leading killer in U.S.

600,000 deaths every year

715,000 heart attacks every year

Coronary heart disease alone costs the United

States $108.9 billion each year

(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

Costs of Preventable Diseases

988.5 Billion spent in the U.S. on Health

Care annually.

384 Work-Loss Days per year due to

acute conditions (injury / illness).

Many of these are preventable by

maintaining a wellness program in your

company.

(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

What else is out there?

On site health appraisals that offer you

very little discernable health information.

Bioelectrical impedance estimations of

body composition

under predicts body fat % in obese individuals

(Heath et al, 1998)

not a valid technique, small fluid changes are

interpreted as changes in body fat

FITLIFE Fitness Testing

Offers the most health information and

preventative data for the money.

We are an academic program and not a

for profit organization. Able to offer clients

top rate testing for a cut rate price.

Graded exercise test with cardiologist

alone is worth more than the cost of the

entire health profile on the market.
