How does the VLE foster communication?

The VLE foster’s communication because the instructor can create a calendar of upcoming due dates, test dates etc – so this serves as a type of news letter to students and parents.

There is back and forth communication between teacher and student in the form of a blog.

The teacher posts a comment, and students can reply to it. The post can be made in the general forum, or assigned to a specific group.

Likewise, students can reply to the teacher, or to their fellow peers. (This aspect also supports project collaboration).

communication via the blogs where students and teachers are able to provide feedback.

Also, collaboration is supported in the form of the library or file storage space. Here students can save documents, download them, make notations, changes, and re-upload them for peer review and collaboration.
