VOICE LEVEL

0 = Silence, No talking

1 = Whisper

2 = Normal conversational voice

3 = Presenting voice(Teachers instructional voice)

4 = Outside voice

BEGINNING OF CLASS

• Enter room quietly

• Get Grade Check form & materials

• Find seat and sit down

• Set out Agenda

• Start on Do Now

• Raise hand for help, if needed

DIRECT TEACH

• Eyes on speaker

• Voice level = 0

• Students following along

• Taking notes, if appropriate

• Raise hand to speak

INDEPENDENT WORK

• Voice level = 0

• Focus on assigned activity until complete or

otherwise directed.

• Stay in seat

• Raise hand to speak

END OF CLASS/DISMISSAL

• Remember that teachers release students. Not the

bell.

• 5 minute pack-up/clean-up

TARDY STUDENTS

• Enter room quietly

• Sign into tardy log

• Get warm-up & materials

• Find seat and sit down

• Catch up to class, complete Do Now during own

time

TARDY POLICY

• 1st Offense – Copy ½ Tardy Essay

• 2nd Offense – Copy Entire Essay

• 3rd Offense – Phone call home

• 4th Offense – Referral

RESTROOM

• 10/10 Rule.

• Wait for appropriate time.

• Have agenda pre-filled out.Teacher will place time &

initial

• Upon returning, replace wooden pass. Leave paper pass

on Teacher’s desk

• Keep pass visible

• Go directly to location

• Be polite if stopped by adults

• Enter new location quietly

Whole Class Rewards

• Preferred Activity Time on Fridays.

• Music while you work.

Classroom Consequences

• First offense: Non-Verbal Warning.

• Second offense: Verbal Warning

• Third offense: Reflection Pass with half essay AND call parent

• Fourth offense: Reflection Pass with full essay

• Fifth Offense: After school detention with phone call home.

• Sixth Offense: Referral.
