Introduction
Generally Research refers to a search for knowledge. Research can be art or
scientific investigation. In short, the search for knowledge through objective and systematic
method of finding solution to a problem is research.
Research refers to the systematic method consisting of enunciating the
problem Collecting the facts or data, Analysing the facts and reaching certain conclusions
either in the form of solution towards the concerned problem or in certain generalisations for
some theoretical formulation.
Research Problem
A researcher must find the problem and formulate it so that it becomes
susceptible to research. Like a Falcon pumps, a researcher must Examine all the symptoms
concerning a problem before he can diagnose correctly.
A research problem, in general, refers to some difficulty which a researcher
experiences in the context of either a theoretical or practical situation and wants to obtain a
solution for the same.
Thus, a research problem is one which requires a researcher to find out the
best solution for the given problem. My research statement is to make study on product
quality and services.

Research on Product, Quality and Services
Relevance of the study
The subject of my study is useful because the subject is based on the quality of
the product; it is beneficial to both the customer and the company. Good Quality of the
product will satisfy the customer this will benefit the customer by increasing the loyalty of
customer and number of customers and sales. Product satisfaction is depends on quality and
services as like product quality support customer services.
Literature Review
A.Parasuraman, Valarie A. Zeithaml and Leonard L. Berry
The attainment of quality in products and services has become a pivotal concern
of the 1980s. While quality in tangible goods has been described and measured by marketers,
quality in services is largely undefined and unresearched. The authors attempt to rectify this
situation by reporting the insights obtained in an extensive exploratory investigation of quality in
four service businesses and by developing a model of service quality. Propositions and
recommendations to stimulate future research about service quality are offered.
Akshay R Rao and Kent B. Monroe
The authors integrate previous research that has investigated experimentally
the influence of price, brand name, and/or store name on buyers' evaluations of product
quality. The meta-analysis suggests that, for consumer products, the relationships between
price and perceived quality and between brand name and perceived quality are positive and
statistically significant. However, the positive effect of store name on perceived quality is
small and not statistically significant. Further, the type of experimental design and the
strength of the price manipulation are shown to significantly influence the observed effect of
price on perceived quality.
Richard W. Olshavsky and John A Miller
This study experimentally investigated the effects on product ratings of both
overstatement and understatement of product quality. Results support common marketing
practice in that overstatement resulted in more favourable ratings and understatement resulted
in less favourable ratings.

Finding
Submersible pump set mainly define problems comes in motor and pump.
Those problem solutions can be possible and reparable.
Generally motor problems include wiring, thrust bearing, busting, armature
fault, stamping problem etc.
And Pumps problem include shafting, Mattel, bush, bolt problem etc.
Other problem also comes as like Water problem, voltage problem and
technical problem.
During the research I have found the major problem of Thrust bearing
problem in Submersible pump. This Problem is nature replaceable. Thrust bearing is set in
the ending of submersible pump. It is damaged in generally two to three year.
Quality has become major factor in a customer’s choice of product quality and
services. Pump also high qualified product of falcon Pumps Company.
Services provided by separate department and its name are Raj services
station of falcon pumps company. After Selling of Pump with Company give 1 year
warrantee. And Customer requirement is increasing more timing of warrantee period.

FUTURE SCOPE OF FURTHER RESEARCH
Future research if considered one of product quality and services it can be
 Increasing product quality,
 Product variety,
 Sales volume,
 Reduced prices,
 100% inspection after
 Sales services,
Visit of the technician to the customer.
Suggestion
As par Analysis of the questionnaire filled by the customer, I suggested to
improvement of thrust bearing problem in submersible pump and also incremental of service
period. Many customers facing price problem. Price of Falcon pump is relatively higher
comparing the others. So company must be think about reducing price.
Falcon Pumps is qualitative products with high performance, durability, and
aesthetics of pumps also very good. They have given good services within the period of
warrantee time.
And also maintained pumps quality.
There is no any latest inventory control system so, sometimes because of wrong
estimation it has much or less stock than requirement.
