Know What We Are DoingItinerary 6:30 AM depart from the Middle School (coach buses) – We will leave at 6:40AM (please be here)

9:15AM arrive at Ludlow High School

7/8 Concert Band 9:40AM Warm-up, 10:05 Perform 5/6 Concert Band 10:05 Warm-up (we’re on stage), 10:30 Perform (7/8 non-jazz listens in the aud.) 7/8 Jazz 10:30AM Warm-up, 10:55 Perform

11:30AM Load bus and leave for Six Flags

12:00 PM arrive at Six Flags Amusement Park and enjoy the rides.

5:50PM Meet at the Garden for the Awards Ceremony

6:30PM depart for Home

8:50PM arrive at the middle school, unload ready to leave by 9PM

It will take us 2 hours and 25 minutes.

So bring something to keep yourself entertained!

BE ON TIME FOR DEPARTURE

Get to Know Your Chaperone,this is your new best friend.

You are not to leave your chaperone at any point throughout the trip.

Attendance will be taken at every stop.

We are Taking Coach Buses!

They have tv’s so you can bring movies!Movies must be rated G, PG or PG13

Bus Etiquette: Stay in your seats while the bus is moving Use indoor voices Don’t leave garbage on the bus

And DON’T aggravate the bus driver!

We are Performing at Ludlow High School

Things to remember:• Do not exit the bus until Mr. Clinton gives the O.K.• We will assemble our instruments Outside and leave the cases in the storage bays under the bus• Line up in concert order on the sidewalk• They will be judging your behavior for the Espirit De Corps Award:

‐ outside‐ in the halls‐ on and off the stage

What should you do when entering the auditorium?

Enter single file in concert order

Put your music on the stand in concert order

Sit up and have your instrument in ready position

Smile – because you are prepared

What is important to remember when performing in a new venue?

Position yourself so that you can see the conductor

Don’t block your bell

Remember to listen across the band for other parts

Articulations, dynamics and cutoffs will be impacted by the size of the auditorium

Freeze at the end of the song and wait for the conductor’s hands to go down.
