Orientation to P.K. Yonge DRS Internship
School Day for Teachers begins at 7:45 AM
School Day for Students begins at 8:40 AM
Teacher Day ends at 3:15 PM Student Day ends at 2:40 PM
Expectations regarding your times will be clarified with your supervising faculty member

Your Point of Contact is Dr. Carrie Geiger, Supervisor of Instructional Practice (aside from your faculty supervisor and COE Professor)

Interns are not permitted to “sub” or substitute teach during their internship
Our supervising teachers will not leave you alone in the classroom
Teachers Role = Provide consistent (sometimes critical feedback)
Intern Role = ASK QUESTIONS! Respond to feedback, and learn, learn, learn
Some Basic Expectations
Please be present between all class changes and supervise students by standing at or near the classroom door
Please look to your supervising faculty member or COE Professor if you have questions or concerns regarding expectations for professional dress
