The Maya are an indigenous people of
Mexico and Central America who have
continuously inhabited the lands comprising
modern-day Yucatan. Dating back to 2600
BC
In the modern age the Maya still farm the
same lands and travel the same rivers as
their ancestors did from the north in the
Yucatan down to Honduras. The claim that
the Maya somehow vanished, simply because
their cities were found abandoned, is not
only inaccurate but insulting to the over six
million Maya who carry on the traditions of
their ancestors.
The Mayan land, whose millennial
culture is the beginning and origin
of Yucatan, is appreciated national
and internationally for all its
natural richness, history and
culture.
The Yucatan people, are known for
their kindness and hospitality. For
them, it is always a pleasure to host
every visitor and open their doors so
we can enjoy all the treasures: the
antique civilizations, the culture, the
gastronomy, the history, the
traditions, the amazing landscapes,
the beaches, the magical towns.
Intangible Cultural Heritage of HumanityTraditional Mexican cuisine is a comprehensive cultural model comprising farming,
ritual practices, age-old skills and culinary techniques. The basis of the system is
founded on corn, beans and chili. Do not leave without tasting a delicious lime soup,
panuchos, papadzules, cochinita pibil, unremarkable stuffed cheese and handmade
ice cream.

Sotuta de Peon. When touring we will literally travel
in time, transported on wooden platforms called
"trucks", that are pulled by "mules“.
We will witness the process, step by step of the
transformation of Henequen (or Green Gold, as it
was known throughout the region), from plant to
fiber and from fiber to final product. Add to this the
secret attraction, the Cenote or beautiful
underground river of crystalline waters. Take time
to take a refreshing swim at the end of the tour.
