VITAGEN ROAD SHOWWe usually think of bacteria as something that cause
diseases. But did you know that your body is full of
bacteria, both good and bad?
Good bacteria, or probiotics, are so-called because
they help keep your gut healthy. Probiotics are safe,
healthy and are consumed in various forms, such as
yogurt, kefir and cultured milk.
Knowing the importance of probiotics, we invited
Malaysia Milk Sdn Bhd, a leading dairy and beverage
company, more widely known by the name of their
products, Vitagen and Marigold, to come to our school
to give a talk to our pupils on 8 November 2017.
Our pupils gathered at the Smartboard Room and
listened to the explanation given by Puan Hajar. This
was followed by a quiz and a game whereby they got
very excited as packets of Vitagen drinks were given
to those who managed to answer the questions
correctly. The company gave Vitagen drinks to our
teachers and pupils at the end of the session. The
pupils and teachers also took the opportunity to buy
the Vitagen and Marigold drinks at a lower price from
the company.

students to secondary school and what to expect to gain
from five years in secondary.
The program started with participants’ registration at 8.00

creativity in baking simple pastry delights whereas Do It
Yourself requires the students to make their home for
stationaries using mineral bottles.
After lunchtime, the students were assembled in the
Smartboard Room for the “Care To Share” activity at 1.45
p.m. This is a sharing session about the exchange program
with Tokai Daigo High School which is officially our sister
school since 2015. The sharing session was meant to
encourage students to join the students’ exchange
programme at secondary school in the future. They were
also introduced to some Japanese culture and activities
such as origami.
Lastly, at 3.00 p.m. an activity called ‘Shining Star’ took
place. In this activity, the artistic skills workshop was

sides, Arnaud and Christelle found out the three students
managed to express their ideas very well. On the other
side, the students were very glad having the opportunity to
learn the language indirectly.
Arnaud and Christelle continued their visit by meeting the
secondary teachers and by having a view in the whole

RIVER RANGER PROGRAMME 13 September 2017. Our ECO team members joined a
programme called River Ranger at SMK TAMAN
DATO’ HARUN. This programme was supported by
MPMA and DOW Chemical Company. This programme
is to learn about a rivers biologically , physically and
chemically aspects . The programme starts with a speech
by Ms. Jagadeshwari. She gave us a speech regarding
water and explained the theory behind the practical work
at Taman Tasik Lembah Kiara. After her speech we went
to the basketball court for an exhibition by the students
of SMK TAMAN DATO’ HARUN.
At 10:00 a.m. we went to Taman Tasik Lembah Kiara
for practical work. With us there were 4 other schools
who joined this programme. We were divided into
groups and started our practical work which included
testing the quality of the river. This was a new
experience for the ECO team members and they learnt a
lot.
After the practical work we returned to the school and
had our lunch and proceeded to our next session. The last
session was a speech by a representative from MPMA
on things which are made of plastic and some videos
regarding to it. Finally , we ended up with a speech by
Sattish from River Care We Care and he give us some
group work to think of ideas on what can we do to clean
the river around our school areas. Later on , we were
given the materials to do the practical by our own and we
were given an allocation of RM1500 to be used for the
river cleaning and given two months to do our project
and showcase what we did in two months times.
