Introduction TheDiocesanYouthServiceoftheDioceseofEastAngliaisexcitedtobeorganisingapilgrimagetoSantiagodeCompostela,walkingapporoximately100kmofthe‘Camino’,alsoknownas‘TheWayofSt.James’.LegendholdsthatSt.James'sremainswerecarriedbyboatfromJerusalemtonorthernSpain,wherehewasburiedinwhatisnowthecityofSantiagodeCompostela.TheWayofSt.JameswasoneofthemostimportantChristianpilgrimagesduringtheMiddleAges.However,theBlackDeath,theReformation,andpoliticalunrestin16thcenturyEuropeledtoitsdecline.Sincethe1980s,walkingtheCaminohasbecomepopularagainwithover270,000pilgrimswalkingitin2016,andmorethanthisexpectedin2017.Willyoubeoneofthem?
