Toiletries - toothbrush and paste, hairbrush, soap, shampoo.
(If you bring deodorant roll on only, no aerosols.) 2 x 1L water
bottles - Strong, durable & leak proof. Camelbak/bladder type
is OK for one of these. Torch - Small, lightweight. Head torches
are ideal (bring spare batteries). Personal first aid kit - Should
contain: lip balm (protects against dry lips due to exposure to the
elements), asthma inhaler, Band- Aids, sports strapping tape etc.
Spare pads / tampons. Towel Spare plastic bags - 8 x large garbage
bags Sunscreen30+ Insect repellent - Small roll on. No aerosol
please. What to Bring

2 x Wool/fleece beanie - Must be able to pull down over the
ears (wool or polar fleece). Sun hat, sun glasses - Full brimmed -
floppy or cricket hat. No peak caps. 3 x shirts - 1 Long-sleeved
cotton, with collar (College shirts / business shirt) 1 short
sleeve shirt with collar eg polo shirt, College sports shirt. 1
spare. 2 x jumpers - Must have 1 woolen jumper, and 1 polar fleece
or wool. NO COTTON!! 2 x pants - 1 pair of warm track pants and 1
pair lightweight track pants / hiking pants. 2 x shorts - quick dry
and knee length ie board shorts. 3 x pairs Socks Wool blend hiking
socks are best. NO COTTON or sports/ankle socks. What to Bring:

be in its commercial packaging and instructions provided from the
students doctor or pharmacist. All medications must be handed to
the accompanying teacher prior to departure. Optional extras: Spare

Backpack bring all your clothes in a suitcase/bag from home, it
will be stored at school till you repack into them Friday afternoon
to head home. Waterproof jacket - Gore-Tex or japara, must have
hood. Over pants - Gore-Tex or japara. Paddling Kit including:
paddle, type 2 PFD, Helmet, wet suit and waterproof paddle jacket.

Low High The glycaemic index, (GI) provides a measure of how
quickly blood sugar levels rise after eating a particular type of
food. Food that is High GI means that sugar is quickly available
after eating food eg lollies. Be warned however as soon as that
sugar is used you feel worse and more tired than you did before the
sugar. Therefore food that is Low GI means sugar is released slowly
and energy levels can be more sustained. We need both low and high
GI foods in our snacks in the outdoors for optimum performance,
comfort and most importantly to avoid symptoms associated with
HANGRY!!!
