This situation is more likely to occur in low season but can also occur in September and October. The cancellations can occur even though they have previously confirmed the reservation made by China Highlights for our customers. Cancellation of a sailing usually occurs 15-30 days before the scheduled date but sometimes might be within 2 days before the sailing. In the event that a cruise is cancelled we will do everything possible to rebook immediately on another ship, so that inconvenience is minimized. It is possible that an additional expense may be applicable if the available ship is more expensive than that of the original booking. Please be assured that these events are beyond our control but we are here to serve you and will do all in our power to make your trip as smooth as possible.

4.Downstream and UpstreamDownstream voyages start from Chongqing, and head to Yichang, Wuhan, or Shanghai. Upstream voyages start from Shanghai, Wuhan or Yichang, and head to Chongqing.Your travel consultant may recommend a certain city to suit flight connections or your itinerary.Usually downstream cruises will take less time than upstream ones, but they are more expensive on some ships because of higher demand from travelers. Some shore excursions may be different to those advertised, because of changes in the schedule, but will by no means be less interesting. Shore excursion itineraries are subject to change based authority notice, weather conditions and water level.

5.China Highlights Travel highly recommended that you to book airport-pier/pier-airport transfers together with the cruise. The ships do not use the same dock at pier each time so it may be difficult to find the correct point of departure.

The Lesser Three Gorges-The Lesser Three Gorges are the three separate valleys of the Daning River: Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge and Emerald Gorge. These lie on the lower reaches of the Daning, which flows into the Yangtze. The gorges are truly spectacular. Sheer cliffs soar up towards the sky from the brown-green water. Mountain tops hover above the ribbon of mist, disconnected from their roots. Its "subtle mountains, clear waters, pretty rocks, dangerous rapids, sharp turns, fantastic caves, and stalactites in various shapes" create the timeless beauty that you see in Chinese landscape paintings. Monkeys, mandarin ducks and other water birds can be seen loitering on big boulders in this area. In addition to the wonderful natural scenery there are a number of historical places of interest along the way, such as a suspended coffin, boat coffin, and remains of ancient plank walkway

Feng Du Ghost Town-Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats.
