Dr. Maryam Matar is Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA), a newly launched Dubai government authority that takes responsibility for setting up and developing frameworks for social development in accordance with the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 as declared by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on February 3, 2007.
Before joining CDA, Dr. Matar became the first Emirati woman to assume the responsibilities of Under Secretary of the Ministry of Health where she led and supervised a number of initiatives designed to make Primary Health Care (PHC) programs available to the biggest share of population in the Northern Emirates, taking the number of overall PHC facilities in the UAE from 52 to 97. In 2005, she was the leader of the executive team dedicated to research key social development issues as described in the ‘Dubai Strategic Plan (2008-2015)'.
A humanitarian by nature, Dr. Matar realized early on in her life through her friendships with her patients that she could make changes in society to help change the lives of people for the better. As such, she is the Founder and Executive Director of two non-government and non-profit organiza-tions - the UAE Down's Syndrome Association and the UAE Genetic Diseases Association involving families from 17 different nationalities.
In addition to this, she has initiated many national community outreach programmes such as ‘UAE Free of Thalassemia by 2012', and the ‘Wellness Centre'.
Dr. Matar has been honored with a government award every year from 1990-2006 for her outstand-ing performance and contribution to the UAE society, including the Sheikh Rashid Award for ‘Academic Excellence' (1999), ‘Best Healthcare Project' across all Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE in 2002, ‘Best Community Project' of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development (2004), the ‘Dubai Quality Award' for Best Employee in Dubai Health Authority (2003) and the Emirates Business Women Award for ‘Professional Excellence' (2004).
A certified family physician, Dr. Matar graduated from the Dubai Medical College in 1999 as top of her class and later on specialized in Community Medicine which is based on in-depth involvement of the practioner with the patient's social, financial and psychological issues in addition to the health related diagnosis and treatment. As one of the renowned achievers of her generation, Dr.Matar completed successfully the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development in 2005.

Deena Mehta is one of the promoters and Managing Director of Asit C Mehta Investments. She also serves as Director at National Payment Corporation of India. Deena Mehta did her schooling at Mary Immaculate Girls' High School in Mumbai. She is a commerce graduate and a chartered accountant. She is a Post Graduate degree in Management Studies (Finance) from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies . Deena also has a Diploma in Stock Exchange studies from BSE Training Institute and a Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Law conducted by Government Law College, Mumbai. Deena Mehta was the first woman Director on the Board of the Bombay Stock Exchange. She was Vice-President for two years and was elected as the President of the Bombay Stock Exchange in 2001.
Deena Mehta has served as a member of the Board of Directors of organizations like: Cotton Association of India, Board of Central Depository Services (India) Limited . She is also a visiting faculty on stock markets at IIM Ahmadabad.

Shobha MoniPartner - Triad Software Services
Shobha Moni is a first generation entrepreneur who set up Triad Software services in Dubai. An MBA from Indian Institute of Manage-ment in Bangalore, she pursued a more traditional career with some of the Big 5 names in the IT industry like HCL, Wipro and Satyam - before plunging into launching her company along with her husband who is a Chartered Accountant.
Triad is now an award winning player in the Middle East. Shobha believes that being an entrepreneur is one of the best life time decision.
Shobha enjoys public speaking and has spoken in professional forums including the CA association in the past. A mother of two she loves classical music and oil painting.

Ms. Alisha joined DM Healthcare as Director, Finance at Medcare Hospital and gained hands on experience in hospital finance and operations. She is presently the Director – Strategies of Aster DM Healthcare and handles responsibilities in Finance, Strategic Planning and Operations.
She also started her own Bikram yoga studio, RAWR in Media City with a friend, because of her interest and passion for fitness. More recently, she opened up a healthy fast casual restaurant, Kauai which is a franchise of South African chain in Marina. She is the Past President of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber, second woman and first woman from the profession to have this honour in the history of 107 years of the Chamber. Her tenure saw several new initiatives and visits by Central Ministers and other dignitaries.

A 2nd rank holder at the Intermediate and a gold medalist at the Final examination of Chartered Accountancy, Ms.Parekh holds the distinction of being the first woman to top the final CA examination. After securing a 2nd rank in B. Com. and 1st rank in M. Com., Nandita went on to pursue MBA from USA and worked with Coopers & Lybrand, an international accounting firm for a period of 2 years (1986-1988) in their Chicago office.
Ms. Parekh specializes in internal audit and risk advisory services, with emphasis on Banking and Financial Services, Shipping and Healthcare Industry. Ms. Parekh is a regular faculty at professional seminars, corporate training programmes and MBA schools, on topics such as practice management, risk management, innovations in internal audit, Corporate Governance and the role of Internal Audit.
She has done pioneering work in pursuing the cause of women chartered accountants, in sensitizing the profession about the need for better work-life balance and has supported many women professionals in re-starting their professional careers. Rana Salhab was the first woman to be made partner at Deloitte in the Middle East. She is responsible for talent and communications across 16 countries.
Prior to joining Deloitte, she assumed various leadership positions in the ME and Europe to include Human Resources Director in the Europe, Middle East, India & Africa management team and HR director of the Growing Economies region.
Rana is a frequent speaker and an active champion for the advance-ment of woman, corporate responsibility, and youth skills building initiatives in the MENA region.
