WHMIS/SIMDUT Training
The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to be proficient in the Occupational H&S legislation as it pertains to WHMIS/SIMDUT. This course covers the classification of hazardous materials, WHMIS/SIMDUT labelling, and MSDS material safety data sheets. Participants will also learn how workplace chemicals affect the body and what protective measures should be taken to protect ones self from exposure to hazardous materials. Renewal time is minimum 1 year. Testing for certification has a mandatory minimum as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Objective: The objective of this course is to develop an in-depth knowledge of WHMIS/SIMDUT legislation, labelling and the MSDS sheets. Mandatory to all job descriptions prior to the commencement of work.

Fire Safety Training
The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to be proficient identifying the classes of fires, types of fire extinguishers and the proper use and application of fire extinguishers. This course is called for in the Health and Safety act and is considered mandatory for all employees in all workplaces. This course is designed to complement the companies own specific fire procedures for the education of all new and existing employee. Fire safety should be combined with WHMIS training for all personnel and renewed as specified for their job by the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Testing for certification has a mandatory minimum as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Objective: The objective of this course is to develop the knowledge of classes of fires, types of fire extinguishers and the proper use and application of fire extinguishers for the preservation of life. Mandatory for all job classifications.

The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to be proficient in the proper procedure to initiate and recover from a lock out Tagout situation. The course provides the background knowledge and clear understanding of reasons for and consequences of Lockout/Tagout procedures as they pertain to the prevention of serious injury or death in the workplace. The responsibility and duties of due diligence and attention to details are covered as are the strict adherence to procedure. Awareness of tagging and locking devices and their appropriate use in the securing of machinery and equipment for maintenance or movement. The course covers the basic understanding of the form and function of the skeletal muscular system and the possible injuries to the back resulting from improper lifting techniques. Cumulative Trauma Disorder Training
The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to understand the warning signs of a potential injury such as aches and pains. Participants will understand who is susceptible to CTD in the workplace and what measures to take to prevent injury. Additional understanding of what Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, what causes it and how to reduce the onset of this chronic condition. Testing for certification has a mandatory minimum as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Objective: The objective of this course is to develop an in-depth knowledge of Cumulative Trauma Disorder; its cause and preventative measures to avoid injury.

Office Ergonomics Training
The goal of this program is to prepare individuals in the proper posture and typing position to avoid the chronic conditions associated with improper office ergonomic. The course includes a variety of ergonomic tips as well as exercises and stretches to improve circulation, relieve tension and improve posture. Individuals are instructed to check their posture and typing position to the course model and receive detailed information on the impact of poor habits on the muscular skeletal structure. Testing for certification has a mandatory minimum as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Objective: The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of the

The goal of this program is to understand the various types of stretching strategies and their application in the work environment to reduce stress, muscle tension and avoid injury.
