• This service is for women who are concerned about their substance use or are in recovery, and are pregnant and/or parenting children aged 0-6 years.• Services include: individual or group counselling and support, as well as the option of residential addiction treatment services.
Program Services• Individual meetings with a counsellor.• Information about other community resources.• It is the goal of the program to offer you an appointment within 48 business hours from your first contact.• Supportive counseling group with other mothers who are concerned with their substance use.• On-site supervised childcare and assistance with transportation costs may be available to women participating in the Moving Forward group.• Outreach services are available to women living in the Waterloo, Wellington and Dufferin areas.• Women who are pregnant can access residential services at Alcontrol, a 9 bed residential addiction treatment program for adult women.• Alcontrol is a 4 to 10 week program depending on individual need. Abstinence is required.• There is no cost to participate for residents of Ontario.
