The one most compared to the V7750 is the Lemania 5100 as they are very similar.
Aside from that you are either going way up or way down (in both price and quality).
The 31 jewel El Primero cal 400 by Zenith is one of the most well-respected, and is a more fluid, elegant
automatic chrono than the V7750 is, but at a much higher price. Why is it better? It winds in both
directions (making it more efficient), the rotor spins more smoothly, and without any noise, beats at
36,000vph as opposed to the V7750 running at 28,800vph, and a 52 hour power reserve versus the 44
hour PR of the 7750.
Closer to real world comparison in quality (a step up actually, but not a huge leap) and fairly close in
price would be other offerings from ETA like the 2894. A much younger movement (1996 or 1997), but
more refined being slimmer, and a better power reserve at about 48 hours.
Others that will cost TREMENDOUSLY more would be Girard-Perregaux 3080, Lemania 1350 (this is a
Flyback however), Piguet 1185, Rolex 4130 and the like. Will they be "better" than a V7750? Hard to say,
and it depends on a lot of variables.
Does better mean better accuracy? A V7750 can be adjusted to run at COSC specs (and can be bought as
COSC chronometers).
Better construction? Sure, get into the pricey big boys and the materials of course get better, and you're
looking at true 100% hand assembly. Will that make it run better? Likely not noticeable, no.
Greater longevity? Perhaps the higher grade materials in the mainspring, hairspring and such could make
them last longer, or at least require less maintenance... but I don't know that the difference is truly night
and day.
Depends on what you want and how much you're willing to spend honestly. But I can tell you that you'd
be hard pressed to find a more rugged and reliable movement that is able to run at this level of
accuracy...

Zenith 410, Lemania 5100, ETA 2894-2 (& a few others). The Lemania
5100 does have some advantages, which stand out. Here are some facts
below about the 5100 (From Chronomaddox's website)
The 5100 is a must have for any collection, if you can grab one.
The 5100, due to its construction, is the only chronograph movement that can withstand large shocks
without its chronograph seconds hand stopping. This is because its chronograph mechanism is driven
directly unlike most other chronographs which use an intermediate wheel. The calibre easily
withstands acceleration in excess of 7G without appreciable loss of accuracy. Its ruggedness is
legendary; the calibre easily absorbs shocks and blows. The calibre also maintains its accuracy over
long periods without servicing. Service intervals from four to seven years have shown to be sufficient.

the input by both of you.

WOW!!
That 5100 has a BIG rotor, doesn't it?
Love my ETA 2894-2 in my Sea Vulture.
Love my A07.211 Valgranges in my Venom.
Beautiful work on these movements, on the fasteners and the rotors!

It looks 99% the same. As far as the performance, I can't really
comment on that, since I have not had one in my hands yet.
