What is Workflow?
Workflow or Business Process Management (BPM) consists of Processes, States and Actions.
A Process (e.g. Customer Order fulfillment) is accomplished by a series of several steps called “States”. (e.g. Order received, fulfilled, shipped, billed, completed)
An “Action” moves a process from one State to another. (Order entry, fulfillment, shipping, billing). The action may be user intervened or automated flow.
