Ever been asked what you do? What do you reply?
I’m an Accountant/ Insurance Broker/Web Designer/Massage
Therapist and so on……
Sound familiar?
Did you know that’s not what you DO?
Confused? OK let me explain…..
Your Job/Business is just that .. It’s the service you offer
What you do is how you deal with the ….
PAIN…..
For example…. I am an insurance broker. That’s my service
What I DO is lift the burden of insurance from my clients
shoulders…
If I want to take this a step further then I can say I am a
weight-lifter (Lifting the weight of insurance from my clients shoulders)
- see the difference?
How can you find what you do?
Start with your business What is your business?
OK now think about why your clients come to you?
Think about the “Pain” they have before they use your
service
How do you ease their pain? How do YOU and your business
make their lives better?
That’s what you DO…..
So next time you are at any networking or business mixer
why not test it out
