THE MT. RIGI RAILWAYS ANNIVERSARY IS HEREIn 2021, Europe’s first mountain railway turns 150. This historic moment in Switzerland’s railway and tourism history will be duly celebrated on several occasions throughout the year. One of the year’s highlights will be the “second maiden voyage” of the famous No. 7 Engine (built in 1873) up to the Queen of the Mountains, exactly 150 years after the Vitznau-Rigi line was inaugurated.
