Welcome to Ms. Elmore’s Second Grade Class!!
About MeI graduated from the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, with a certificate in Special Education.
I have substitute-taught here at Westwood for the last three years.
I am a mom of two boys; Colby age ten and Jaden age six.
I am a huge sports fan. Go Bulldogs!!
I love seeing the growth a child has over the course of a year and I am so excited to watch you all learn and grow!
Our Classroom

2-composition notebooks with different color covers
1-24 count box of colored pencils
1-box 24 count colors
4-3 pronged folders red, blue, green, and purple
1-4oz. Elmer’s glue
2-glue sticks
1-20 pack of #2 pencils
1-package of markers
1-school box
Classroom Rules
Discipline
Red, Orange, YellowOutstanding: Students that get on Red, have had an outstanding day, they have gone above and beyond what is expected!
Great job: Students that get on orange have had a great day, they have followed all the classroom rules and have exceeded expectations!
Good day: Students who get on yellow have had a very good day and have shown good choices throughout the day!
GreenReady to Learn! They have followed all the classroom rules as expected and were ready to learn! This is a Good Day!
Blue, Purple, PinkThink about it: Students who get on blue have had some struggle with following the rules and are encouraged to think about what went wrong and then to make better choices.
Teacher’s Choice: Students who get on purple have struggled to follow the classroom rules and will receive 15 mins. of lost recess and may or may not have a note sent home to their parent or guardian.
Parent Contact: Students who get on pink have struggled repeatedly to follow the classroom rules and have chosen not to make good choices. Students will receive detention, have a note sent home, and will be sent to the principal’s office
