Expectations• All magnet students signed an
Entrance Agreement upon accepting a seat here at Marshall.
• All magnet students are expected to uphold all expectations.
• Students who have infractions will have a conference with Ms. Lenderman.
• If it continues, students and/or their parents who do not meet these expectations will be placed on a Growth Plan.
Magnet Demerit Log• If a Magnet student receives a
consequence, they will be sent to The Magnet Office and will fill out the demerit log in their folder.
• If you receive too many demerits, you can be placed on a Growth Plan.
• Grades, Attendance, Behavior, General
• Growth plans will be for 1 grading cycle (6 weeks).
• A conference will be held at the halfway point and at the end of the grading cycle.
• If progress has not been made by the end of the grading cycle, the magnet student can be removed from the magnet program.
• Once removed, the student can only attend their zoned school.
• The student will not be allowed to apply to Marshall for the following school year, but may apply to other magnet programs.

• Who: Band & Orchestra Magnet students
• What: Field trip to the Symphony Pictures at an Exhibition
• Where: Jones Hall
• When: October 26, 2016, 8:15am-1:15pm
• Why: Each Magnet class will go on a fieldtrip during the year!
• Band and Orchestra students will receive the field trip packet. Please return your permission slip next week to Mr. Alanis, Ms. Jackson or Ms. Lenderman.
