WINAMAC, IN - Christine A.“Chris” Smith, 72, died Monday,January 11, 2021, at University ofIllinois Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.She was born September 14,1948, in Logansport, Indiana, tothe late Dan and Bonnie (Brady)Rausch.
Chris was an active member ofthe Pulaski County communityand was a member of the PulaskiCounty 4H Fair Board, PulaskiCounty Historical Society and thePulaski Animal Center. She wasan avid supporter of the AliciaMarie Smidler Animal RescueFund. Chris founded theNorthern Indiana Power from thePast organization and was instru-mental in the creation of theannual power show. In 2004, shewas awarded the Dr. HJ HalleckCommunity Service Award. Shewas co-owner/operator of SmithMotors and Smith Auctions inWinamac. She also worked withher mom and siblings at Bonnie’sPunkins in Winamac. Sheenjoyed the outdoors foraging formushrooms and berries, veg-etable and flower gardening, can-ning, cooking, baking and spend-ing time with her family.
She is survived by her hus-band, Robert E. “Bob” Smith, onedaughter, Rita (Thomas)Thurman of Kansas City,Missouri, three grandchildren,one great granddaughter, twosisters: Judy (Butch) Fitz andJeannie Neff and two brothers:Tony Rausch and Barney (Patti-Jo) Rausch, all of Winamac. Shewas preceded in death by onebrother, Mark Rausch.
A Celebration of Life will be heldafter Covid-19 ends. In lieu offlowers, memorial contributionsmay be made to Boy Scouts ofAmerica Troop #229 or NorthernIndiana Power from the Past.

KNOX, IN - Ronald N.Chambliss, 75, died Monday,January 11, 2021, in Knox,Indiana. He was born, October 9,1945, in Gary, Indiana, to the lateJoseph and Doris Lucille (Grey)Chambliss. On July 1, 1967, inGary, he married JennieGlorioso.
Ronald was a veteran of the USArmy, having served in Vietnam.He enjoyed playing his guitar, lis-tening to music, watchingJeopardy and all sports andspending time with his family. Hehad worked as a maintenancemechanic.
He is survived by his wife,Jennie, two daughters: April(Arthur) McCurdy Crawford ofWinamac, Indiana and Amy(Brad) Chaffins of Knox and threegrandchildren. He was precededin death by three brothers:Darvin, Joseph and RobertChambliss and two sisters: EdithEdnaiston and Doris Belcher.
Services were held Friday,January 15, at Braman & SonMemorial Chapel, with FatherJohn Zemelko officiating. Burialwas in the Crown Hill Cemetery,Knox.

NORTH JUDSON, IN - Anita RaeLudlow, 75, died Saturday,January 9, 2021 at MemorialHospital of South Bend, Indiana.She was born January 23, 1945,to the late Kermit Dwight andMaxine (Holmes) Weddell. OnMay 3, 1969, in North Judson,she married Gary Ludlow. Hedied February 21, 2011.
Anita was a 1963 graduate ofSunman High School and hadattended Indiana University. Sheretired from Liberty ElementarySchool in 2013, where she was aTeacher’s Aide and a Title 1Resource Coordinator of theNJSP School Corporation. Shewas a member of the NorthJudson United Methodist Church.She loved watching IU sports, theChicago Bears and Hallmarkmovies. She was the ChoirDirector at church and played thepiano in the Mustard Seed Band.She loved spending time with herfamily and friends.
She is survived by her children:Jennifer Kay (Douglas B.) Kochof San Pierre, Indiana, BrandWayne (Angela S.) Ludlow ofIndianapolis, Indiana andChristopher Alan (Rochella L.)Ludlow of North Judson, ninegrandchildren, one great grand-child, and siblings: Janet L.(Russell) Begley of North Judson,Carol L. (Paul) Grubbs of Hobart,Indiana and David D. Weddell ofHartford City, Indiana. She waspreceded in death by one grand-son, Caleb A. Ludlow.
Graveside services were heldSaturday, January 16, at HolmesCemetery in Medora, Indiana.Memorials may be made to thefamily for funeral expenses.

Johnny was a veteran of the USArmy and US Air Force during theVietnam War. He was retiredfrom Polygon Manufacturing inWalkerton, Indiana. Johnnyenjoyed doing crossword puz-zles, playing solitaire, fishing inhis pond, playing the lottery andhe loved his family very much.
He is survived by one son,Jeffrey John Bradshaw of BruceLake, Indiana, one daughter,Lynn (Wes) Terry of Winamac,Indiana, three grandchildren, onegreat granddaughter, one sister,Patricia Proctor and one brother,Paul Richard Bradshaw, both ofThomasville, North Carolina andformer spouse, Dianna (Swayze)Wilder of Winamac. He was pre-ceded in death by one brother,Darrell Bradshaw.

Donald was a veteran of the USArmy and had worked in variousvocations across the UnitedStates and retired fromBethlehem Steel, Burns Harbor,Indiana after 30 years of service.He was an avid square dancerand hunter and was best knownfor his big cowboy hat, boots andred Mustang.
He is survived by his wife, Mary(Watt) Walker, one daughter,Mary Ann (Mike) Stiner, fivegrandchildren, three great grand-children, one brother, Robert L.(Delores) Walker, two step chil-dren: Cindy (Thomas) Walkerand Randy (Roxanne) Louden,three step grandchildren and sixstep great grandchildren. He waspreceded in death by his firstwife, Ruth Ann (Wallen) Walker,and siblings: James H. Walker Jr.and Barbara A. (Walker) Green.

KNOX, IN - Leonard “Jake”Lippner Sr., 89, died Friday,January 15, 2021, in Knox,Indiana. He was born May 9,1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to thelate Stephen and Anna(Staszewska) Lippner. On June28, 1952, in Palos Park, Illinois,he married Shirley Magnusson.
Jake was a veteran of the USNavy and the US Army. Heworked as a carpenter and thenas an installer and repair man forSears and was also a custodianfor the Knox schools. He was co-owner of Big Mama’s Pizza in the70’s. He loved spending time withhis family.
He is survived by his wife,Shirley, one son, Leonard(Susan) Lippner Jr. and onedaughter, Cheryl (Richard) Miller,all of Knox, five grandchildrenand three great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by onegrandchild, Edwin, one brother,Ferdinand “Tiny” Lippner and twosisters: Lolly and Lorraine.
Private family services will beheld at a later date.

Floyd was a veteran of the USAir Force, having served as aStaff Sergeant in Japan, duringthe Korean Conflict. He hadworked in Massachusetts andattended Western New EnglandCollege before moving back toWinamac in 1958. He was amember of St. Paul LutheranChurch, Denham, Indiana and amember of the Pulaski CountyAviation Board, Pulaski CountyFarm Bureau and EasternPulaski School Board. He servedas Franklin Township Trustee andPulaski County Commissionerand was a founding member andPast President of the KankakeeValley Workforce DevelopmentServices. Floyd was a lifetimemember of the Winamac VFWPost #1728 and the WinamacAmerican Legion Post #71. Hehad a passion for flying and wasa member of the Indiana FlyingFarmers organization and gaverides in his Cessna namedCharlie. He loved his family verymuch.
He is survived by his wife,Jeanette, two daughters: Annette(Jeff) Dixon of Calico Rock,Arkansas and Cheryl McGovernof Winamac, two grandchildren,four sisters: Lois Alfeld, ArleneLuehrs, Thelma Pace and PhyllisWall and one brother, Kenneth(Shelley) Podell. He was preced-ed in death by one son, Theodore“Ted” Podell and three brothers:Richard, Carl and Isadore, Jr.
Visitation from 4-8pm EST,Friday, January 22, at FrainMortuary. Services will be held at11am EST, Saturday, January 23,at the funeral home, with Rev.Mark Fakih officiating. Burial willbe in St. Peter’s Cemetery,Winamac. Memorial contributionsmay be made to a charity of thedonor’s choice.

Henry loved to sing karaoke,fishing, flea markets and travel-ing. He was a long time memberof the Knox Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife,Jeanette “Bunny” Tolson, his chil-dren: Josh H. Tolson and Diana“Dee” Tolson, both of NorthJudson, Indiana, one step daugh-ter, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Meyer ofDeMotte, Indiana, four grandchil-dren, one step grandson, fivegreat grandchildren, one brother,Jerry Tolson of Knox and one sis-ter, Emma Jean Aiman of NorthJudson. He was preceded indeath by his first wife, VivianTolson, three sisters: Ida Craft,Betty Wilcox and Irene Smith andone brother, Truman Tolson.

He retired from the FordStamping Plant in ChicagoHeights, Illinois and was a mem-ber of the UAW Local #588.
