Other past roles include Meg Magrath in Crimes of the Heart, Jill Tan-ner in Butterflies Are Free, and Tracy Lord in The Philadelphia Story.
Aleta Bernard (Costume Designer) Aleta is proud to be involved in another fabulous show at WCT, and after a year off, she is happy to be back. Past fa-vorites are Red Hot and Cole, The 1940’s Radio Hour, Private Lives, and her first show, Sylvia. “Our community is very fortunate to have such a wonderful theatre facility. It’s great to be around all this talent and energy.”
Kerry Birmingham (Antonio) Kerry previously appeared in WCT’s produc-tion of Little Women as Father. He is a graduate of the University of Wiscon-sin-Milwaukee and currently lives with a girl and a cat.
Harry Brammer (Sea Captain/Priest) Harry recently appeared in Alone Together at WCT. He thanked his parents then, so he’d like to thank his grandmothers this time, since they came first anyway.
Michelle Lynn Brien (Feste) Michelle first appeared at WCT as Mozart’s wife in Amadeus. Previous classical roles include Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew, and Dorine in Tartuffe. She would like to thank WS for writing such an iconic role and RS for casting her in it, and she wishes people would give her money as readily as they do Feste. She would like to dedicate her performance to the memory of her friend, Magician Mark Bond.
Joshua Brooks (Curio/Second Of-ficer) Josh has returned to Wisconsin after spending several years in the
Washington, DC-area. He was quite active in theater during high school, but his acting career has taken a long hiatus since then. He is very excited to be part of this WCT production and plans to remain actively engaged in the near future.
Jim Donaldson (Orsino) Jim has performed most recently in Sunset Playhouse’s production of It’s a Wonder-ful Life, and is proud to be returning to WCT after nine years of absence. He also feels very honored to be working with such a great cast.
Kelly Driscoll (Ensemble) Kelly made her WCT debut as Amy in Little Women. She studied theatre at Southern Utah University and recently performed on the stage of the Utah Shakespeare Fes-tival in Love’s Labour’s Lost. This fall she will enter the University of Minnesota as a B.F.A. candidate.
Scott Fudali (Lighting Designer) Scott has been designing lights for both Carroll University and WCT for a num-ber of years now, when not keeping the network running for the University. Some of his favorite designs have included Sweet Charity and Dead Man Walking at Carroll, as well as The Music Man and 42nd Street at WCT. He hopes you enjoy the show, and he would like to thank his girlfriend and parents for their continued support in all his theatre endeavors.
Colleen Kartheiser (Viola) Colleen is thrilled to make her debut with WCT. Most recently, she was seen in the Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa’s production of In Juliet’s Garden. Col-leen would like to thank WCT and the cast and production staff of Twelfth Night for making this a truly reward-ing experience.
Jenny Kosek (Olivia) Jenny is glad to be back for her tenth show at the PIX. Favorite roles include Babe in Crimes of

the Heart and Elise in The Miser. Favorite shows elsewhere include Noises Off with Sunset Playhouse and A Midsum-mer Night’s Dream with the Summer-Stage of Delafield. She will spend the remainder of the 2011 season assistant directing and stage managing for Old World Wisconsin’s burgeoning theatre company. M.B.L. doth sway her life!
Matthew Lovison (Sebastian) Matthew is ecstatic to be performing in WCT’s production of Twelfth Night. You may have recently seen him in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde at Old World Wisconsin. Thanks to Jenny for all her love and support! “Enjoy the show!”
Anthony Mackie (Wig Master) An-thony started acting at age five. He attended Stone Cameren, Ruth Page Ballet Company in Chicago when he was 15. Anthony started a new career in Milwaukee where he was a hair stylist, director, and choreographer, and eventually a wigist for most of the theaters in the area.
Spencer Mather (Sir Andrew) Twelfth Night marks Spencer’s debut on the WCT stage. Favorite roles include Leo Clark in Leading Ladies, Lenny Ganz in Rumors, and Alex Hammond in The Nerd. Originally from Western Canada, Spencer is blessed to have found such a terrific home and family here in Wisconsin. He would like to thank you for coming out and supporting the arts, and special thanks to Ann for her support and understanding. “There is a fine line between courage and foolish-ness…and I walk it every day.”
Debi Mumford (Stage Manager) Debi is excited to be working with this wonderfully talented cast and crew and she thanks this cast for showing her that Shakespeare can be fun! She also thanks her family and friends for their never ending support and encour-agement. Some of her favorite shows include: The Philadelphia Story, Kitchen
Witches, Candy Cane Tales and Holiday Wishes, On Golden Pond, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? and Write Me A Murder. Now please sit back, relax and enjoy the mischief and fun of Twelfth Night.
Mark Neufang (Malvolio) Mark is excit-ed to reprise a favorite role that he first played in high school – 20 years ago! He recently appeared in Corpus Christi with Theatrical Tendencies, and now returns to the WCT stage after directing Crimes of the Heart in February 2010. When not onstage, Mark bakes up a storm at Bay View’s Honeypie Café. He dedicates his performance to his high school drama teacher, Michael Chirco, who truly taught him how to “achieve greatness” on stage!
Kenneth Penzkover (Valentine/First Officer) Kenneth is delighted to perform again at WCT with this highly talented cast of Twelfth Night! Favor-ite past roles include Bumble, James Bond, and Hamlet. He sincerely thanks his family, friends, and mentors who inspired him to pursue drama. He will be attending UW-Whitewater, majoring in theatre, of course!
Gene Schuldt (Sir Toby Belch) A Chi-cago native, Gene is a 1976 graduate of The Goodman School of Drama. WCT patrons may remember him as Noah in the musical Two by Two earlier this season. Gene thanks WCT for bringing the Bard to their stage. One of Gene’s favorite Shakespearean roles was King Duncan in Kabuki Macbeth at the Wis-dom Bridge Theatre in Chicago, which won the 1982 Jeff Award (Chicago’s Tony) for Best Play.
Pam Seccombe (Properties Designer) Pam is Props Diva and Director’s Go-pher at Nathan Hale High School, and is thrilled to do her first show by the Bard. Favorite shows are The Diary of Anne Frank at Hale and Kitchen Witches at WCT. Pam’s next theatre adventure

begins this fall when she becomes a technical theatre student at UWM. This one’s for Sam and Hannah.
Robb Smith (Director, Scenic Designer, Master Carpenter, Sound Designer) Robb has enjoyed performing with many Wisconsin theatres such as: Chamber Theatre, Door Shakespeare, First Stage, Next Act, Renaissance Theaterworks and Skylight Opera. He will next be seen on-stage this summer with Optimist Theatre playing the role of Orsino in...Twelfth Night. Many thanks to his wife Laura, and to Gabe and Isa-belle - the best kids and collaborators a father could ever hope to have.
Sharon Sohner (Assistant Costume Designer) Sharon is very excited to be working with her colleague Aleta Bernard on such a creative project. She is also impressed by the talented cast and crew. Sharon costumed and
performed in The Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the only other plays by William Shake-speare that WCT has done.
Shawn Spellman (Assistant Stage Manager) Shawn is pleased to be help-ing Debi and Robb with this produc-tion of Twelfth Night. She has been a volunteer at the theater for seven years. She enjoys it tremendously.
Wesley Yoshino (Fabian) Wesley would like to thank Robb for casting him in this show, a favorite from his Oxford days. Wesley has been acting, directing, and choreographing for 33 years. Fa-vorite roles at WCT include Master Jack in The Miser, Sheriff in Trip to Bountiful, Chef in Don’t Drink the Water, and Head Elf and The Grinch in 2010’s Candy Cane Tales and Holiday Carols. Much love to Valerie and Jake.

DIRECTOR ’S NOTES
We spend our days (and nights) trying different masks on for size. Masks of deception, protection, pride, and shame. The “real” self is a plastic construct that varies greatly ac-cording to audience - watch the average Wisconsinite during church on Sunday morning and then check in with them a couple hours later during the Packer game ...
The world of Twelfth Night is filled with such variance - benign and beguiling, protective and playful, deceptive and delightful. Sometimes subtle, sometimes ... not so much. We have delighted in creating this world of (mostly) playful pretend, we invite you to delight in watching it unfold. Robb SmithDirector
SPOTLIGHT ON THE BOARD OF D IRECTORS
WCT presents….Twelfth Night
“If music be the food of love, play on…”
In a famous speech from the play, Duke Orsino gives vent to his deliciously impossible love-longing for the Lady Olivia.
It’s no wonder that Twelfth Night is often considered one of Shakespeare’s best comedies – with its plot of a shipwreck, separated twins, disguise, mistaken iden-tity, a pompous idiot, and love triangles – that has all sorts of room for exploring the unpredictable twists and turns of romantic love. This is more than a meaning-less, laugh-in-the-moment comedy. The plot includes the definition of love and how men and women feel and think differently.
Please consider supporting WCT as we enter our 55th Year!
There are so many opportunities to support the theatrical arts by giving of your time, talent, or treasure…
Our volunteers are the heart of WCT and we thank everyone who has contributed over the years.
We would not exist without you!
No gift is too small – join our “HIGH FIVE CLUB” – John Cramer is longing to paint his face and get dunked in a tank on this summer! For details go to our website at www.waukeshacivictheatre.org.
Be there…
Sincerely,Christine Howard TurowskiPast President, Board Director

M AD CORNER
I fell in love with Shakespeare when I set out to read all of his plays at age 17. I got through half of them that year! My first experience with Shakespeare as an actor was in college when I was cast as King Lear’s Fool. I was hooked. Do you know that in all of his work Shakespeare uses 17,677 words and he invented 1,700 of them? Here is just a handful: Amazement, Assassination, Bloody, Courtship, Critical, Frugal, Gen-
erous, Gloomy, Lonely, Obscene, Sanctimonious, Suspicious, Zany - the list goes on and on. As if all the words he invented were not enough, he also put common words together to make up new phrases, like “all that glitters is not gold,” “break the ice,” “brevity is the soul of wit,” “catch a cold,” “clothes make the man,” “eat out of house and home,” “give the devil his due,” “it’s Greek to me,” “method in his madness,” “wear one’s heart on one’s sleeve” … I could keep going but I simply don’t have room. And of course, his work inspired some of the most famous modern stories we know, in-cluding “Kiss Me, Kate,” “My Own Private Idaho,” “Ran,” “The Boys From Syracuse,” “She’s The Man,” (based on Twelfth Night), and “West Side Story.” I cannot express how thrilled I am to present one of the Bard’s classic comedies. We hope you enjoy it.

THEATRE INFOR M ATION (c o n t.)
CIVIC SENIOR PLAYERS The Civic Senior Players are a dedicated group of Senior Citizens who have a craving to entertain others and who want to become skilled at it. The Players will devote time and energy to becoming actors. There is no charge to the seniors participating. This entertainment will be provided at no charge to any senior organization or residence, and the only requirement is an audience of at least 20 who would enjoy some laughs and a good time. Donations to WCT are ac-cepted. If you would like more informa-tion, call Carol at (262) 549-1091.
ACAP PLAYMAKERS provide daytime performances (often of original works) based upon school curricula, themes, and ideas relevant to children at vari-ous stages of their education. The fall PlayMakers production is geared to our elementary students, and the spring production is produced for middle school students. While offered primar-ily to school groups, these family-friendly shows are great for public, private, and home school groups, Boy and Girl Scout troops, senior centers, and your family! Tickets are only $5 (or $4 each for groups of 20 or more), please call (262) 547-0708. PlayMakers rehearse and perform in the daytime, and are always looking for new actors and technical personnel.
ACCESSIBILITY The Margaret Brate Bryant Civic Theatre Building is fully handicapped-accessible,
and WCT is proud to offer a number of services for our patrons who have special needs (a four-week notice is required and services are
based upon availability). For the hearing impaired we have a T-Coil Loop System, T-Coil Listening Devices, and
FM listening devices that will amplify the sounds of the performance. Patrons must have hearing aids with telecoils installed and activated to use the Loop
System. Patrons who are blind can receive audio descriptive services for the performance. Wheelchair accessibility is available in two forms: transfer seats and wheelchair positions.
PATRONS Please refrain from wearing highly-scented colognes, perfumes, hand cream, or aftershave to perfor-mances, as many people have allergies or respiratory problems. WCT is con-cerned for all patrons and we appreci-ate your cooperation.
PARKING Parking is available on Main Street, in the Riverfront Plaza parking area behind the Theatre, off Barstow Street, in the parking facility on Broad-way, and at other locations in down-town Waukesha.
REMINDER As a courtesy to those who arrive on time, Latecomers will be seated at First Break!
