Don’t tile it. Multipanel it.
Multipanel products deliver fast installation and contemporary style through innovative wall panels, luxury vinyl flooring, safety flooring for wetrooms and lightweight ceilings.
We have partnered with one of the country’s foremost interior designers, Linda Barker. Linda has created the Linda Barker Collection for Multipanel, a range of beautifully crafted waterproof panels, inspired by materials from the natural world, some with the look of real slabs of Calacatta marble, fossilised timber and patinated corten steel.
Multipanel brings luxury and quality to bathrooms. Offering long-lasting, durable design, it is now possible to create completely waterproof spaces with quick and easy installation. Multipanel products are easy to clean and completely eradicate the risk of mould. Transforming the way we design interiors forever.
Multipanel delivers installation time and cost savings for:
• New build, with the walls combining as structural as well as decorative surfaces
• Refurb, saving thousands of pounds by overcladding wall panels, eliminating the need to remove tiles and re-plaster
• Modular construction, ensuring significantly reduced production time, and secure transit to site
Multipanel is part of Grant Westfield, the company behind interior excellence since 1881. Over 8,000 wall panels are manufactured every week and distributed through a nationwide network.

Key considerations for housebuildersThe building industry continues to be challenged by skill shortages, increased labour costs and extended build times. To address these challenges there is an increased use of off-site manufacturing to shorten timescales and drive efficiency of production.
Housebuilders must also meet the expectations of the modern buyer from keeping on-trend to ensuring durability of interiors.
Differentiate new homes with on-trend décors
Multipanel is available in a wide range of décors and textures, from neutral, traditional designs with a modern influence, to the subtle elegance of the Heritage range, with the upgrade option to the Linda Barker collection, boasting stunning true-scale stone and wood designs.
Installation savings
Multipanel offers multiple cost savings against traditional tiles. Multipanel removes the need for specialist trades on-site, plasterboard is no longer required (material and time savings), fitting time is significantly reduced and unlike tiles, there is no need to wait for Multipanel to dry and no grout.
Peace of mind
Ease of installation prevents snagging issues and the product comes with a 15 year warranty.

Key considerations for housing associations Housing associations face many challenges including regulatory frameworks, the need for more housing stock, faster construction and maintenance, as well as a duty to accommodate those requiring increased accessibility. Multipanel products improve speed of build and provide a number of other key benefits including reducing maintenance and void time.
Increased speed of construction
Speed of construction is crucial in delivering social housing and Multipanel walls can be fitted in 24 hours compared to 3-5 days for traditional tiles. The rapid install is because Multipanel can be fitted straight onto timber framework or over existing tiles and there is no need to wait for specialist trades on-site
Multipanel waterproof walls, ceilings and floors have smart tongue and groove details which just click into place providing a rapid solution for the interior envelope.
Reduced maintenance costs and void time
One of the major challenges for bathrooms in social housing is the need to refresh for incoming tenants. This results in significant cleaning and in many cases replacing the tiles after a tenant moves out. These challenges can be dramatically reduced with the use of Multipanel products as all they require is a simple wipe down with a non-abrasive detergent to maintain a pristine condition well beyond the 15 year warranty.
Lifetime homes and accessibility
WetFlor® offers resilience in hard wearing environments and as it is slip resistant is perfect for families with young children or those who require extra accessibility.

Key considerations for hotels All hotels, from national chains to city boutiques, require regular renovation to avoid outdated décors and general deterioration.
Keeping your hotels on-trend
For years Multipanel products have kept hotels at the forefront of interior fashion. The wide range of décors and textures is updated on a regular basis to ensure that finishes are on-trend.
Reduced occupancy downtime
Hoteliers rely on fast renovations to maximise their profitability, customer satisfaction and minimise guest disruption. Using Multipanel products fast tracks room upgrades and provides a number of key benefits including reducing maintenance and vacancy downtime.
A hotel bathroom can have all wall panels fitted and ready to use in 24 hours due to Multipanel efficiencies such as the smart Hydrolock system and the ability of the panels to perform both structurally and decoratively.
A home from home
Whether travelling for business or pleasure, hotel accommodation should feel welcoming and homely. The bathroom plays a major role in this, with hygiene and luxury of equal importance.
Peace of mind

Key considerations for independent living Independent living means all people having the same freedom, choice, dignity and control at home, at work and in the community. Multipanel products provide practical assistance to make that a reality. From anti-slip safety flooring in both residential and workplace environments, to easy to clean and maintain walls.
Inclusive environments with modern designs
Traditionally, hygienic and accessible environments have not provided the most contemporary look, however, with Multipanel this is changing. The inclusive interiors offer modern style through a wide range of classic and contemporary wall décors and flooring options with fashionable base colours and an attractive sparkle finish.
Independent living providers need to consider the 30 point LRV variance between wall and floor for the visually impaired, Multipanel’s wide range of décors facilitate this without compromising on aesthetics.
Faster adaptations
A fundamental challenge for independent living providers is the speed of adaptation. Adaptations must mean minimal disruption to clients, tenants and guests. Multipanel panels can assist through the reduced requirement for backing board materials, no need to wait for specialist trades on-site, and they can be fitted and ready for use in 24 hours.
Lifetime homes and accessibility
Multipanel wetroom safety flooring and panels are ideal for homes designed with inclusivity in mind. Our vinyl WetFlor® offers resilience in hard wearing environments and is slip resistant making it perfect for those who require extra accessibility.

Key considerations for student accommodation Universities are under increasing pressure to provide suitable accommodation for the student market. The competitive nature of this sector means that it is more challenging than ever to compete for undergraduates and funds. The volume of students each year is growing significantly, meaning universities need to ensure that their developer partners can source the best value, speed and ease of construction.
Creating demand for modern accommodation
Students have high expectations of their living quarters, from the need for an en-suite bathroom to stylish décor. Multipanel helps deliver vibrant interiors cost-effectively through a range of over 100 décors, including stunning acrylic panels as an alternative to back-coloured glass for the top end of the student market to on-trend laminate panels with Hydrolock® and boutique designs for mid-range.
Speed of renovation
Universities have very limited time periods to perform renovations between term times and summer visitors. Multipanel products can dramatically reduce the time required to turn rooms around.
Minimal cleaning requirements
Multipanel products are easy to clean, have no grout, require minimal maintenance compared to traditional tiles, increase life cycle and reduce facilities management costs.

We care about your environment At Grant Westfield we are committed to sustainability and recognise that caring for our environment matters. As a strategic objective we strive to reduce our carbon footprint in three main areas; sourcing of materials, reducing energy consumption and reducing waste. The same principles from the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System are applied to ensure our comprehensive environmental policy.
Sourcing of materials
Our plywood is sourced from sustainable forests and accredited by the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes). By gaining these Chain of Custody certifications we are ensuring we contribute towards responsible management of the world’s forests and helping to fight climate change.
Reducing energy consumption
We are proud to be members of Made in Britain. By sourcing materials made in the UK, such as our laminate, we are reducing our transport energy.
Solar photovoltaic panels on the roof of our Edinburgh factory generate 42,000Kw each year. A voltage optimiser also provides a reduction of 120,000kWh per year.
LED lights installed throughout our factory, provide better lumen output meaning less energy is now consumed. Where we can, we look at making a difference, whether with low energy virtual servers, low energy computer monitors and printers and even lighting that switches itself off when it cannot detect movement.
Reducing waste
99% of our post production waste is recycled into biomass materials and other products, helping to reduce landfill and contributing to the circular economy. All of our panels are recyclable at the end of their long lives.
As part of a rolling programme of environmental and sustainability initiatives we continually review how we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Classic Heritage Linda Barker
Reference
Description Classic, Heritage and Linda Barker walls are used as interior decorative panels for both wet and dry areas.
Specification Constructed from a hardwood waterproof plywood core (EN314–2 class 3 exterior) bonded under controlled conditions with a high pressure decorative laminate to face, and a plain white balancing laminate to rear. Waterproof glue lines are D4 rated. All work is carried out to BS EN ISO 9001:2015.
Panel dimensions / Weight
2400 x 1200 x 11mm / Approx 25kg2400 x 900 x 11mm / Approx 18.75kg2400 x 598 x 11mm / Approx 12.5kg
Joints Our standard details for jointing two panels together, without using aluminium extrusions, is Hydrolock. This produces a watertight, subtle joint that is quick and easy to install. Aluminium extrusions are used to connect panels at corners, and finish at open ends. Multipanel Seal is used where panels meet baths and shower trays. All joints must adequately sealed with high performance silicone sealant. See page 19 for details.
Colours 18 15 13
TolerancesThickness: +/- 0.5mmLength: +/- 1.0mmWidth: +/- 0.5mmCurve: +/- 3.0mm
Cleaning The panels should be cleaned using warm water and a non-abrasive mild detergent (not bleach). Scouring products or powders should not be used.
Precautions When cutting or trimming the boards sharp edges may be encountered which should be smoothed off using sandpaper or plane. Aluminium cutting should be carried out using appropriate metal cutting tools such as a hack saw and de-burred. Appropriate eye protection should always be worn. When disposed of, the panels are suitable for landfill with no leaching or environmental pollution considerations associated with the product.
Fire rating Reaction to fire (EN13501-1) of D-s2,d0. Class 2 surface spread of flame (BS 476-7). The laminate used in Multipanel is not fire rated as standard.
Thermal properties
Dry heat for short periods; Multipanel will withstand surface temperatures of up to 180°C (356°F) to Grade 5 without deterioration of surface or colour (although in some cases a slight loss of sheen may occur). Avoid continuous localised heat. If used in situations of localised heat, such as adjacent to ovens, the maximum temperature to which the panel should be subjected to for long periods (up to 8 hours) is 100°C. In applications, such as use in fire surrounds, panels are subjected to direct heat more or less continuously. In such cases we would not recommend the use of Multipanel.Excessive localised heating can result in blistering of laminate surface. Resistance to Boiling Water, being resistant to steam and boiling water, Multipanel is ideal for applications where cleanliness and hygiene are important.Resistance to cold; Multipanel is unaffected by extreme dry cold and cold storage conditions. However, extreme cold could affect the engagement of joints, and therefore panels should be conditioned in the environment they will be installed in, for 24-48 hours.Chemical resistance; Multipanel has been used widely and satisfactorily for many years in medical and industrial sites. Multipanel meets the requirements of EN 438 at level 5, which specifies resistance to staining by 49 substances in every day use. Wear resistance 450 revolutions.
CE markingAll applicable Multipanel collection products supplied from 1st July 2013 are CE marked. Declarations of performance are available on multipanel.co.uk.
