VISITING DISNEY WORLD
• Disney World has so much to offer to
everyone, not just kids. From the theme
parks, the resort hotels, the water parks, and
the ESPN sports complex, it has it all. Disney
has four main theme parks. First is Disney’s
Hollywood Studios. This park for many is
synonymous with the image of the Sorcerer’s
Hat from Fantasia. This park was recognized
as MGM Studios until 2008. One of the main
attractions at this park is The Hollywood
Tower of Terror ride, where you stand in
large elevator and free fall many floors
continuously.
• The Magic Kingdom is the oldest of the
four built theme parks. Many people will
recognize this park as the one with the
huge castle in it. A fan favorite ride at
this park is Splash Mountain, a log
themed water ride that splashes you
through out the tight turns and big
drops. In 2013, this park had 18,588,000
visitors ranking it number 1 in the
world.
• Epcot is the second of the four theme
parks to be built. Many will recognize
Epcot by the large “golf ball” looking
thing in the park. That golf ball is actually
recognized as Spaceship Earth. A cool
feature about Epcot is the World
Showcase with its 11 pavilions. Each
pavilion is dedicated to a different region
around the world. Some of these regions
include United Kingdom, France, Italy,
and China.
• The last theme park of the four is the
Animal Kingdom. Many will recognize
the Animal Kingdom as the park with
The Tree of Life. The Animal Kingdom is
the largest theme park of the four
covering over 500 acres. It’s also
located far from the other parks in order
to isolate the animals that are located in
the Animal Kingdom as far as possible.
• Downtown Disney is a great place for
adults to hang out, grab dinner, or
even just a drink with some friends or
loved ones. The park has everything a
single person, couple, or large family
could ask for. For more on these
awesome parks, check out this video
